For TSW2 there was an upcoming US route.... but now we have TSW3 with a new route? So what about the mentioned upcoming route on the TSW2 roadmap? Need some clarification here for people who don't want to buy TSW, or is this the strategy? Get people to buy TSW3 because they want the new route that was mentioned for TSW2?
The upcoming route from July roadmap that initially announced for TSW2 (New German Route & New US Route) are core route for TSW3. Just recently pre-purchasing TSW3 on Epic Store, and it says 3 add-ons and I'm quite sure it refer the 3 core route included inside TSW3 (Standard Edition)
As mentioned, those 2 routes were revealed as 2 of the 3 TSW3 launch routes ie US Route = Cajon Pass: Barstow - San Bernardino German Route = Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg
Speculation is the lifeblood of these forums. Don’t let reality get in the way. Let’s see. Amtrak with multiplayer anyone?
It wasn’t a strategy as such, They put the existence of the two routes on the roadmap because if they hadn’t everybody would have been going mad about there being nothing on the roadmap at all. They went mad anyway because there were no details of what routes they were and they are still going mad now because of some of the details. There is no way DTG could win really. If they had put the full details of the routes on the roadmap with a little (TSW3) added to show they weren’t for TSW2 then the forum would have exploded and continued exploding to this day. So yes, the roadmap routes were the TSW3 routes we now know about and no, DTG aren’t evil mind manipulators.
Correct. The only things that will be added to TSW2 are the Preservation Crew updates, which will actually come to TSW3 first.
Nope, this is not correct. The Preservation Crew only works for Updates IF YOU OWN TSW3. There will be no futher Updates comming for the Base TSW2 Game or its DLC´s. If you own TSW2 and you will not buy TSW3 you will not get any more Updates for TSW2 Content.
DLC for that is Avelia Liberty M8 M2 Metro-North basically the US version of a 387/2 BML Germany DB Baureihe 490 474.3. On consoles 474.3 490 is easier to play with keyboard plugged in because you have to dedicated PZB Sifa keys.
Not true. The Preservation Crew updates WILL be rolled out to both games. What is the case is that there will be no more new DLCs for TSW2.
but they are not bringing even 1 year old DLC's upto tsw3 standards as part of this, If they are going to re-release routes with extensions and updates like they are doing with SEHS, then a discount for people already owning the 1st version should be available?? atm, if you only play uk modern routes, and already own SEHS for tsw2, you need to pay 30 quid to get that upgrade. and as time is going on, the actual stuff that's been 'remade from scratch' is turning out to be less and less,
Basically, TSW3 is this year's 3-pack of already on the roadmap routes for TSW2, much like Rush Hour was last time around. They just stuck a 3 on it. It'll cost the price to get them, and they decided not to give everyone the core update this time, so you can't choose not to buy any of the new routes but still go on to buy future ones. Imagine for comparison, Rush Hour but unless you buy at least one of Boston, London, or Dresden, you don't get the 4.26 engine overhaul, and can't play Horseshoe Curve or Sherman Hill.
Yeah, I find it pretty ridiculous that they originally introduced these as new routes on the roadmap (which makes you assume they were planned for TSW2), just for then to announce TSW3 not long after. I mean, did they not have plans about TSW3 yet when these routes originally got on the roadmap? If so, then that's quite concerning if they don't even plan for half a year ahead.
You will see. TSW2 is dead from 6th September on. You will not get any files updated in TSW2, if you not own TSW3 Base Game. Believe me... There was never a Plan to Release this Routes for TSW2. But of course they could not say that these Routes will be released for TSW3 because they did not want Spoiler TSW3
So the roadmap is entirely useless as it doesn't give me an insight on what to expect from them. I mean by this logic anything that is on the roadmap now could be for a future release and not the current product. Who knows, maybe the preservation crew updates and the new Bakerloo Line timetable will release for TSW4?
