So I was watching the dev diary on YouTube and in the comments someone pointed out this: A new route called Niddertalbahn. Does anyone know anything about this? Did they mess up or has this already been announced somewhere?
...were probably placed intentionally in the dev video, meanwhile there is heavy speculation in the forum. The route itself really does exist, north-east of Frankfurt/Main. It's a 31km long branch line with a top speed of 80 km/h. Still not clear what rolling stock is delivered with it. According to the screenshot it's a BR612 like in DCZ. No further information is available yet.
Heres something interesting the wiki on this route says one of the locos used on this route is the DB BR 218 which TGS is currently working on could this loco be a future add on for this route as well.
This will require Doppelstockwagen 612 newer DB BR642 to get RMV decals. If merged with Rhein Main S-Bahn S6 Friedberg to Frankfurt am Main Hbf RB34 runs Express on the S6 tracks to Frankfurt Am Main Hbf from Bad Vilbel in both ways.
31 km? (Facepalm moment) It seems ridiculously short for a TSW route, unless they price it accordingly at say 15€.
That is actually pretty exciting, especially if they finally bring Frankfurt Main with this route as starting point. Considering most of the trains depart from there on this route, it would make sense. DTG, please don't bail! And with a 642 this would be a great new and modern DMU If they bring the 218 as Loco this would mean it's not set in the present and we would have Dostos yet again as main/only drivable units.
I agree and for the DB BR642 RB34 they have the priority over the S6 Frankfurt am Main Hbf to Bad Vilbel DB BR423 420 430 final destination is Friedberg. What DTG can do is sell this as a 131 km route called Naheverkehr Frankfurt Main Freidberg/Stockenheim-Frankfurt am Main Hbf.
Ah, well then I guess we can forget Frankfurt main station to be included. This would be quite some work and I doubt any of the 3rd parties currently working on TSW are up for that.
