it looks way better than DTM's prior stuff, but still doesn't look good.

DTM previewing more stock, this time Phase IV MHCs.

 

Well this should be interesting to see how a Genesis (P40DC) is gonna look from DTM, compare to the other models that's been done so far.

 

Been a hot minute since I posted any of these, but more photos from Larias Games and their route.

 

Aren't the Genesises we already have (P32AC-DM and P42) already done by DTM?

 

There is the old Empire Builder Pack by RSC, with the P42DC's. There is the P32AC-DM, 1st in Metro North, then later Amtrak by DTG. There is the P42DC's that come with Miami, which are worse than the original RSC P42DC, this model is also used for the recent 50th anniversary pack. DTM has never done a Genesis, and the P40DC has never been done officially for TSC. (Only reskins of the P42DC)

Really looking forward to the CP SD70ACu. Hope you will be doing the Heritage tuscan red and grey as well as a weathered standard CP 'Beaver' scheme.

I did actually see that but was just making sure the Heritage scheme was included!
I was also making a request for a weathered version of the standard CP scheme.

 

The level of weathering allowable is subject to CPs approval.

 

Strange. They either want them looking old and worn, or they must be shiny?

 

Ferrari limits the amount of visual damage that their cars can sustain in racing games for "reasons" so I would assume that CP doesn't want their units looking like the SP in the 80s.

 

They wouldn’t. They would need SP logos.

Even so, if they have a worn train, it seems silly to say that one cannot be simulated as it actually looks. Perhaps it is just a quality that they themselves enforce, doing certain repairs on their stock.

 

They give us the license, we follow their instructions.

They're fully aware reality can be harsh but it's all about presentation, isn't it?

 

I completely understand about the licensing and CP obviously want their locomotives to look their best in TSC. However, the SD70ACUs have been in service for a couple of years now. Would CP have a problem with a little light weathering around the radiators, trucks, fuel tanks and plows?

 

Not sure yet what is or isn't allowable. We send them different levels and coordinate appearances with them in production.

If you ask me the old RSC era Marias Pass P42 looks a lot better than these, and you can get some pretty greats mods for them to boot.

Im thinking a 0-6-0, the wheel looks very close to 4466's wheels. I dont think its something like a 9000's or a TTT-6.
