Hi new to the forums and have a couple of suggestions. The first being Hull to Manchester Piccadilly route which is about 95 miles goes under the Humber bridge with a Siemens class 185 and very scenic. Last of all is the iconic original HST 125 with the original Paxman Valenta 12RP200L engine with the screaming Napier turbocharger enough said. Thanks.
Both valid suggestions but what I would do is have the HST and Deltic on a late 70s or early 80s on route including a section of the ECML along with an appropriate 1st gen dmu. That would be my absolute dream route.
there is too much 70s/80s content we need more modern stuff sorry i dont agree i think that modern day would look way better with the colour variety compared to just all blue trains
For me I think that the north does need a modern representation in the game but at the same time I love the soundtrack of the 70s and 80s. I think that DTG should bash out a couple of northern routes, preferably one post 2000 and one in the 70s/80s, before even thinking about another route in the southeast.
From Manchester to Hull which trans Pennine crossing are you using for this route the NTP Huddersfield Route Calder Valley via Halifax Bradford and connection to NTP at Bridgehouse and Hope Valley Line?
Yeah like I said that is my general view it's just the old man in me just can't help but imagine these routes I know so well (especially the ECML) like how I knew them as a lad.
You mean the NTP because Huddersfield Line exists in TSW as the 1983 version. I can see this being the NTP modern-day Hull Manchester Picadilly (Old name Manchester London Road Station) via Huddersfield and Ordsall Chord. TPE 802s replace the Class 45 Peak Class 47 MK2s seen on the 1983 version freight Class 66 & 68 101 is replaced by Class 185 DMU. However, 1983 NTP version gives railtour to TPE NTP Present Day Hull to Manchester London Road Station (Manchester Picadilly). For Calder Valley Line Northern Rail treats the Reversal at Bradford Interchange as a single service on their website it's timetables 36 & 37
