I see some comments sometimes that this isn't working and you get routed the wrong way - can someone elaborate for me? i've just tried a few paths and they seem fine - so i am clearly not doing it right Any help appreciated, then I can fix it. Matt.
As far as I can tell it’s any scenario planner service from Leeds to Manchester that passes through platform 1 at Huddersfield and the reports appear to all be on xbox and playstation. The blue path goes the right way but the train heads into the other platform.
Another question TrainSim-Matt Why can we still not choose a different season in scenario planer? That's really strange since it's basically a standard feature.
I have had a pathing issue approaching the eastern throat at Huddersfield from crossing tracks to the wrong direction then back across when going into Platform 1 (I was even held for a train going in the opposite direction that I had set up). But I think it might have been confused by a separate 'dead train' I had added in one of the bay platforms that was waiting several hours to depart. It would have probably helped if scenario planner simply allowed static trains to be set up in platforms.
No, this only works for the weather but not month/season, it will always be July and always summer. No snow or autumn trees
Yes, when heading West into Huddersfield Platform 1 the signaller sends you across the first crossover outside the station as if you were heading to the sidings on the opposite side, you go along the wrong line for a bit and are then crossed back onto the line you originally left, having missed out the main signal for no reason. I fixed it for the paths in my mod with an instruction to go via a certain ribbon location. Not sure why it does it for the planner paths and not the service mode ones.
Yes I have also found this on custom scenario planner runs. Most of the time you set up a scenario from Leeds to Manchester and the default path says Huddersfield 1b or 4b, can’t remember which off hand….. either as a stopping or passing point, but you get red signalled before you can actually call at the station just at the beginning of the platform.
Hi Matt, The issue is a wrong pathing into Huddersfield when doing any Leeds - Manchester service in Scenario Planner. On the eastern approach to Huddersfield, the road is set into Platform 1b on the map (blue line), but the signals and points route you into the opposite platform (4a I think?). As a result, you are hit with a red signal on Platform 4, and cannot continue the service. Passing the signal just results in the usual SPAD. This occurs even with no other AI services. I experienced it on Xbox One, although PlayStation and PC users have also experienced the same thing.
Yes that’s exactly it. It’s a shame as the last update with this seems to have corrupted all my scenarios on this route. On a separate note I do really like the new freight paths that were added. More of these interesting paths please. They are good for express trains too. The Purley P5 to London Victoria path is great on BML. We really need some northbound freight paths too.
