Worked for me about 10´minutes ago. I had TSW3 open at lunchtime and it went right back in after having shut down the Series X. Also, the words Quick Resume showed, so that’s a good sign.
Thank goodness. That will help take the sting out of no save. I seldom get a night where I can do a two hour run without interruption.
Just don’t play another game between tsw sessions. On my series x tsw2 would do quick resume ok if I opened any other app except for a game between sessions. If I played any other game and went back into tsw2 the game would reboot
Let me try it in the middle of a run and get back. Edit: Yes that works! This compensates somewhat for the removal of the Save function. Thanks Dovetail!!
That’s not quick resume then, TSW2 did not support quick resume on my S. If I turned off the console it was a LOVE shoot if it would load back up, even if I didn’t play another game. I was hoping for True Quick Resume so I could safely pick up my run while we waited for a working save function.
It’s flaky with many games. Either they reload or reload with a corrupted connection. For example assasins creed quick resume makes it impossible to connect to server and save so you need to reload. I think it’s more of a Xbox problem
I’m not sure. I tend to play the same 3-4 games in batches. Right now I’ve got The Long Dark The Quarry Skyrim (don’t judge, like my 80th playthru, I’m hopeless) GTA and of course TSW2, but that one doesn’t Quick Resume. The others do, unless they update I find they are always there, patiently waiting for me to come back to them.
I find QR works fine the vast majority of the time. There is the odd game like Battlefield which requires hitting a button to reconnect it to the server, but that’s not a biggie. Once or twice since I’ve had the Series X, Quick Resume has required me to quit the game and reload, but that’s a very rare occasion.
GTA for example doesn’t always quick resume back into an online session. I don’t want to go off topic but Skyrim is an awesome game. Respect for multiple play through s
