Ini Setting To Remove Tree Pop In?

    Morning all

    Just exploring the training centre and I'm finding this a bit of a distraction (rest so far looks pretty darn splendid) but I was wondering if anyone would know how to remove the tree pop in a bit?

    should be
    foliage.LODDistanceScale=4
    in the engine.ini
    u can also set it to 3

    I will warn that increasing the foliage LOD distance will have a dramatic effect on GPU usage. On SKW I had to reduce it back to the default value of 1 to stay above 40FPS on my RTX 3070 mobile (@1440p all settings on Ultra).

    Running this setting.

    I was triggered by running into Dartford Station, there was grass and tree pop in as I was driving along and it was winding me up as I couldn't unsee it.

    I've changed to this

    [SystemSettings]
    r.DFDistanceScale=10
    r.ViewDistanceScale=4.0
    foliage.LODDistanceScale=4
    r.TextureStreaming=0


    Still pulling close to 90fps.

    2080ti, i9-10900 running on a 1440p ultrawide alienware. (just as a caveat this does vary route to route but in the main its always between 70-92fps)

    What is DFDistanceScale? Never heard of it.

    I have same as you. 2080ti i9 10900 32ram ultra 4k [55" tv] mid 50s 60s fps try 1440p get about same fps? you get lot more than me?

    I’m only running, mine through a monitor so may be moving less pixels. Not too sure to be honest

    Also try this: foliage.DitheredLOD=5. This elimates the "pop" part of the pop-in by having distant trees fade in gradually instead.
