Class 66 Engine Turns Off

In a random place, the engine turns off, the green button does not start it, even if you hold it down. What else can be done? TSW 3

 

Do you know how to start a 66? You have to make sure the run switch is off else it won't try, also reverser to neutral.

Thanks, got it. But AP points are not enough for gold on many Class 66 routes.

Now I have an engine shutdown on F7 while driving on the Cajon route, It turns out this is a bug of more than one locomotive?

 

It seems possible that you are accidentally pressing a key while reaching for another one. I suggest this because I've run numerous activities with both of these engines without having one of them shut down unexpectedly.

I’ve had the 66(new one) cut out at least 4 times now, whilst applying no other keyboard inputs. It seems random

 

Just for the record, the Class 66 tutorial clearly instructs you to insert the reverser handle and set it to forward. The same pair of instructions appears in every Class 66 activity I've driven that includes setup instructions.

P.s.: While I was driving an RHTT service yesterday, a message popped up, telling me that the engine of my Class 66 had failed (that's not the exact wording, but this shut down was obviously programmed into the activity.
