I can confirm it's a bug that's been there for at least a year. On the positive side: my miles to kilometers conversion skills have increased a lot over the same time period
In the olden days, when TSW was still in black and white, players had to manually change the units between routes that use different measurement systems and everything changed as it should. Now there is an automatic feature that changes to the correct system for the route you are playing but not everything gets changed in the process, the main offender being the on-track info bubbles. I’m not sure if it will work but you may want to try changing the units manually in the settings to see if it changes everything like the old times. One other thing that had trouble changing to the correct units was the power indicator in the HUD when switching from a German route to a US route but I can’t say I’ve noticed whether that is still an issue at the moment, as I hardly ever change countries during a play session.
The "upcoming speed change" bubble is always in mph, no matter whether you choose metric, imperial or auto in the settings.
