So the game just released, the game is downloading some update (besides the one which came earlier today), but all the DLC's are not shown as owned or as download? I already restarted steam several times. So is this because it will be unlocked and is not yet or something went wrong here? TSW3 store page says I don't own any further add-ons.
No I restarted steam and the DL size went up to 16 GB. So via "properties" I rechecked the DLC tab and most of them are now shown.
There is now a massive 24Gb download for me and GWE has appeared in the list of owned content so I'm guessing the process has started, but different to what DTG told us which was the list would appear and we had to tick each item as and when we wanted to reacquire them/
The legacy routes and locos seem to be downloading automatically for me, one by one. Didn't have to do a thing except sign in to Steam. Will take a while, though, even with my super-fast internet. Will let it run and do something else for a while.
With no need to restart for my part. Steam seems to add by batches. We can even know which one are downnloaded in the download folder of Steam. 35gb to go.
Seems the case. Unfortunately my wife is in power saving mode (!) so won’t let me leave the PC on while watching a movie downstairs. So guess I’ll be grabbing in dribs and drabs over the next day or so not actually playing the game.
By default, Steam will automatically update your games when a new update is available. DLCs are enabled by default, so the TSW2 routes will all be downloaded by default. You can either change the game settings to not be automatically updated, or just cancel the download, manage the DLCs you want to download and start updating again.
On Epic Games the TSW2 Addons are missing for me as well in TSW3. Bought Southeastern Highspeed and East Coastway from the addons avbl for TSW3 and both are missing... :/ Edit, the TSW2 default routes are missing as well. So currently, I only have the new Kassel-Würzburg, as I bought the German Starterpack.
my steam content only downloaded a few pieces but now looks like the rest is downloading just taken a while to do
Same here. The Epic client isn't downloading any DLC, even though they (at least some) are offered for purchase. Doesn't show the licences either (only the ones for the four routes that came with the deluxe edition): Today's update to the core routes was installed though.
No I'll just let it run till it's happy. You never know what you might want to revisit in the future. The sun's shinning, camera's packed and the dog eager for a long day out...
I have TSW2 plus TSW2 Sherman Hill route, if i was to buy the TSW3 main starter pack, what will happen to my TSW2 routes i bought?
Nothing will happen to them on TSW2 and they'll still be playable there. You should be able to play them in TSW3 for free if you download them through the TSW compatible collection.
So just to clarify if I purchase the UK starter pack TSW3, ALL my tsw2 purchased content will be available at some point today or tomorrow? There’s no separate ‘preservation release’ date a few weeks in the future like there was a huge delay between tsw1 and tsw2 ?
That is correct with an exception being the new journeys expansion pack which I believe will come later. All other TSW2 content should be available within TSW3. There may be some teething issues across both PC platforms though as has already been reported.
Thanks no worries, as long as they’ll all be there at some point over the next day or two, it’s not an issue. I’m teaching all day every day and have Calendar Girls Musical performances every night this week so probably won’t get on the computer until Sunday anyway. Downloading it now so it should be ready by then
I am confused here, how does TSW3 work? I have Steam and purchased TSW2 that has Sand Patch route and I then purchased TSW2 routes Clinchfield and also Sherman Hill, So I see TSW3 for sale on Steam, and if I purchase that and it downloads to my PC, when I play TSW3, will it show my 2 TSW2 routes also? I hope that I won't have to purchase those 2 DLC routes again.
Once you purchase and install TSW3, any TSW2 routes will download for TSW3 under the TSW compatible systems. You should not need to purchase TSW2 routes again.
