With longer routes coming to the game, and with the desire for international routes, I'd like to suggest adding the Utrecht Centraal in Holland to Mönchengladbach Hbf in Germany. This route services Regional, Intercity, International and Freight Trains. Train sets used include but not limited to the following: VIRM FLIRT ICE 3 TRAXX Class 266 More locomotives are operated on the line beyond what is listed. Full length of the line is somewhere between 180 and 185km long.
To get an idea of what is used on the route, this channel has a live stream at Helmond. https://www.youtube.com/c/RailCamNL For it's location on Google Maps at 51.46882977458778, 5.635640902937524
Voltage change occurs at Venlo Station or Zevenaar Emmerich am Rhein using the Duisburg Oberhausen route and Mönchengladbach Duisburg Line. I can HRR giving DB BR425 AI RB33 at Mönchengladbach. Iron Ore Trains C-Akv couplers DB BR189 or 151
Yes, though generally they aren't any different from a Class 66, it's just the designation used by Ascendos Rail Leasing
The RE13 and it also runs on RRO via the missing section Mönchengladbach Neuss Düsseldorf Wuppertal Steinbeck railway. Voltage change is at Venlo and remember to Coast through the neutral section yard area or ask The train dispatcher to change the voltage from 1.5kv DC to 15kv 16.7hz.
Perhaps one that could be used as a scenario for this route, is the recovery of an ICE 3 with the VIRM as seen in this picture and Youtube video. Since it isn't very often you see mixed train sets coupled to one another.
