The tutorials for the ES44C4 have the Engine Run switch OFF by default but expect it to be ON by default (as it usually is in timetable mode) and do not instruct the new player to turn it on. Obviously you can't move the train without doing it. Tutorials affected: ES44C4 Training Module (additionally you cant get the gold medal in this tutorial, requires too many points). Long Train and Brakes Introduction
I have replayed this a few times to try to get gold. It’s the only part of journey chapters without gold,,,,grrr damn my ocd
I have 2 runs which I can't get gold this one and the SD40 tutorial. Never once went over speed limit kept 1 mile below actually and stopped virtually on spot. Think they are both either impossible or virtually impossible.
Yes the engine run switch is fixed in the tutorial, however not the gold medal score which is too high. Also noticed an issue with mission 2 of Cajun journey chapter 2. Night going down hill, it all turns foggy and the train and everything disappears until you near the end point. This is on PS5
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/total-blackness-at-night-on-cajon-pass.58403/ The fog is a known issue and Matt has the team working on it.
Just played the tutorial again. As DigiTMCN said, the Engine Run switch is fixed but the score needed to get the gold medal is still too high. Unfortunately, I found another bug: It seems in my first run I did 1370 points, which gave me a bronze medal. This time I made 1620 points, which is over the 1600 points needed to get the silver medal, but the game did not award it to me. It seems if you already got a score it will not check again if you current one is higher and update the highest score for the tutorial. Please noticed this bug here, but may or may not be present in all the other tutorials / services / scenarios.
Can confirm for both SD40-2 and ES44C4, new higher scores are not updated. Despite sufficient score, which is not accepted, there is no chance for gold for those who have already completed these introductions.
