It’s no secret that Caltrain is upgrading their old line by electrifying it and buying new EMUs. This could be a possible timetable or new route. It might be marketed as a new route because the route needs to be edited with the addition of overhead wires. The locomotive on the route will be the Stadler KISS: there isn’t really anything else new to come, but some Union Pacific or BNSF (when they come with the new license) locomotives can be layers. There could also be an additional timetable for the transition phase where the KISS can substitute in for the F40PH and MP36 while they and the other locomotives carry on on their usual duties. The MP15DC will probably either be a layer for both timetables or a base locomotive on the dlc because Caltrain hasn’t said anything about an electric shunter. There is the possibility of the AEM-7 being a Loco on the transitional timetable while the electric line is being tested. The pricing should also be fairly cheap depending on if people own the regular peninsula corridor. That’s all I really have to say, let me know if you think this should come.
Its a excelent idea and then a exstansion to Fresno for the Highspeed line that is build and for the KISS to Gilroy.
Lmao, that line will lucky to ever get completed in a reasonable manner. And Caltrain has no plans to upgrade to Gilroy at this moment.
Excellent idea and furthermore existing trains will work alongside it the Baby Bullet F40PH these will be the Gilroy services.
