Main-Spessart-Bahn is an excellent route, but Wurzburg always felt like a more natural eastern end than Gemunden: it's busy with long distance traffic, almost all of which branches off just after Lohr to join the High-speed line for the last few miles into Wurzburg. This has now been largely rendered in Kassel - Wurzburg, and while I know a merger of the two routes isn't likely, having done it already would already give you a head start in terms of route learning, scenery creation etc. To illustrate, the red mark on this map is the junction on MSB, and the blue is the high-speed line. The classic line continues north along the river, then follows it south to Wurzburg, amounting to to 37.8 km of track. This extension would: * Be of a similar scale to the SEHS extension * Add IC and ICE services to MSB * Add a mixed high-medium speed experience to the route, like with SEHS * Extend journeys for freight and regional trains * Continue along a scenic route.
and or it could be merged with the Schnellfartstrecke Kassel-Wurzburg complety so the route(s) are even better.
Excellent idea and furthermore you can actually play the sleeper trains all the way to Asschaffenburg Hbf via Lohr and Heigenbrücken Laufach from Würzburg 40-60 minutes in both directions. If you need to follow a Banker service Spoiler: Nightjet times The 1st one is 02:40 Würzburg 03:20 Asschaffenburg this is the Amsterdam via Duisburg and the Brussels Midi via Aachen which is the 06:58 Köln Hbf to 07:47 Aachen Hbf trip on Schnellfahrstrecke Köln Aachen. 2nd is 02:50 Würzburg to Asschaffenburg then Fulda Kassel the Hans Albers to Hamburg Altona. Key feature it's a motorail with Laaers 560s or Ddm 915s on the back. From Asschaffenburg the Amsterdam/Brussels Midi trip is the 02:01 or 01:51 Nightjet to Würzburg 02:41
Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing this in the future, although I personally think there are other routes that need an extension more than MSB.
The way to extend Main Spessart Bahn West to Frankfurt Am Main and Wiesbaden is making Hauptrstrecke Wiesbaden Frankfurt Hanau Asschaffenburg
me I propose a pack for this route the BR 446 with the new heigenbrucken station on a new timetable mode for this route (in 2022) with the 446 and a old timetable mode the timetable we have now in the game on msb
Yeah I definitely agree, but MSB would be the easiest to extend, because we already have what they need to extend
