Banking Comm

    DTG JD DTG Alex the f7 in the clinchfield railroad really needs the banking comm added like in the sd40 on clinchfield in the rear sd40s on one timetable assignment are just dead weight

    quasi helper / "DPU" functionality for controlling the power & brakes of all locos in the consist
    there is a button on the in-cab radio for turning on

    But not in the Clinchfield locos, unfortunately.

    Yep. This is unfortunate. I hope not only for bug fixes there but a proper remaster, with the new lighting, all that stuff. Great route, full of issues :)

    its in the clinchfield sd40-2 the banking comm but its not in the f7 and it should be and one assignment isnt properly do able with it the sd40s at the rear are just dead weight

    I don't think in real life the F7 had banking com - needed engineers with radio or handi-talkies. Don't know what the optimum solution is in TSW

    Banking Comm is a compromise like talking via radio with the helper crew.

    No train in real life has banking comm, it’s a made up feature of the game to allow helpers at the rear of the train. It is actually simulating having a driver in the rear of train loco copying what the front driver is doing, and as such is closer to how it would have been done in an F7 than it is to proper DPU systems in modern locos, which aren’t simulated in TSW. Banking comm stands in for all systems of having separated locos on a train.
