I have posted a similar one on "Suggestions" as this is a general issue in this simulator. But as this is DTG "feedback", for TSW3 and I make it here too. Please on US freight trains, if it has a locomotive at the rear end, the low beam lights must be on (of course the ones pointing to the rear of the train. Today this does not happens on any route. But in the case of Sherman Hill, you can open the SD70ACE cabin windows from outside. Then you can open, and turn on the corresponding switch. So you can turn on that light, if you change the camera to the end of the train. Unfortunately on the new BNSF ES44C4, windows can not be opened from outside. So please modify them, in order can be do it. Thanks
Yeah, I wish they would take more care to recreate such basic railroad operating practices. Things like headlight settings or horn usage is basically never taken into consideration, other than a few US loco tutorials telling you to use your horn before moving your loco. Some US routes are even totally missing their whistle boards, like LIRR or Clinchfield. In comparison, even an arcade simulator like Densha de GO will warn you to use your horn when appropiate, turn off your high beams when passing by trains or entering stations, etc. These are even integrated into the scoring system. Wish TSW would do the same.
Press Ctrl_- or Ctrl_+ twice to switch seat between locomotives If the train is too long, you won't be able to move the camera to the rear locomotive by pressing Ctrl_- x2 But you are actually moved to the rear seat already, so just press 1 again to reset camera in cab, and your view will be moved to the rear cab internal
You can get around this by opening the door, and then opening the windows through the door. I don't recall if I was actually able to operate the switches in the cab through the open windows, or if I had to "glitch" my way into the cab through the window, but I was eventually able to get in and get the lights on (it required changing the headlight control on the back wall of the cab to lead, as well). The best solution would be to automate the headlight when banking is turned on, since everything else happens with a push of that button.
