Br185 Tutorial

    I think an essential topic in the BR185 tutorial is missing. If you have applied the brakes, the throttle must be set in the Off position, other wise it will be locked. Large numbers of new players do not know this and get stuck because they do not recognize the situation.

    I hadn't played any German routes for a few months, so when I couldn't get the train to move on 50020 Landshut-Lehrte I thought I'd go back to the Training Center to see if I'd skipped passed any items on the "pre-flight check". I have to admit to being shocked how little detail there was. No mention of Parking Brake Release, Raise Pantograph and Close MCB... It was just stick it into forward, release brakes and apply power. Then change a switch to reverse onto a train, couple to said train, move to headshunt and uncouple. Nothing really specific to that particular locomotive type - I might as well have driven the Class 66 tutorial as it was essentially the same?
