    Hello!

I'm new to Train Simulator but have prior experience with repainting content in Trainz. This is working with a very different animal.

My subject is the class 801, which I've given a concept paint job. However, I continue to encounter the problem of the train not showing up in game. I can find the train listed but there's no 3D view or thumb in the Drive menu, and in the world/scenario editor, the train comes up as invisible save for the couplers.

This is what happens in the Drive menu--

Now, my research has turned up dry--for what it's worth, I have followed a couple of different YouTube tutorials and I was already aware of the importance of the .GeoPcDx file. But this has not made a bit of difference.

So I'm lost right now. I would appreciate any insight or ideas.

Could you provide screenshots of the engine folder in file explorer? To me it does look like it might be a geo issue, but it would be better to test through making a freeroam scenario.

Everything I've read would suggest a .GeoPcDx issue as well, but it's right in there. I've tried making it non-read-only, tried installing an alternate reskin (Blast Pipe Production's LNER Coronation), and nothing seems to work. I haven't made a skin for any other train yet, but I will be trying that to see if the issue is solely with the 801.

Update: this appears to be a problem associated with the 801. I have the 377, which I've created a variant based on the same livery that I had made for the 801. It's not perfect, but it was made to see if it would work--and it does.

I'm still ultimately baffled by the issues I've had with the 801.

One further update; a user on the Steam discussion forum was kind enough to go through the files modified. Everything was done correctly, however it turns out when I extracted the .ap file it created a further folder into which all the 801 files were stored. Instead of extracting to a newly created folder within, I simply deleted the folder and re-extracted the .ap but did it within the same folder.

I created a new copy of the default folder and replaced the .bin and .tpcdx with the repainted and modified versions and turns out, it works now.
