on Friday there will be a video from the game with ED250 on Q&A ED250 = Alstom ETR 610 If anyone asked where the type designation ED250 was (E)lektryczny (D)alekobieżny (250)km/h = electric long-distance with a speed of 250 km / h In the game, it will run at a speed of 200 km / h with ETCS L1 because this is the way it is on the Warsaw - Katowice route
I like the night shots from the game they recently presented (I saw them yesterday on mobile, but I forgot to share them here when I went back to my PC):
On Facebook, there is a new video about simrail studio office It's quite interesting I would say. The dev announced that they have started new partnership with America and Germany, so most likely in the future we can expect high quality addons and that's not all the game will come to the consoles too P.s There is video on YT : .
Can I clarify one thing which has been raised over at Trainsim dot com? Is the full release of the game going to include a proper single player mode or is it going to be multiplayer only?
There is SP planed on release. During the last stream, the creators of the game provided information that an appropriate internship in single player will be required to play on multi-player servers, so... SP will be driver mode only, with auto AI dispatcher.
Xbox and PS has been mentioned two times now, so it looks like they are planning support for it. The game looks nice, much better now than the demo. But my biggest issue with the game is the 1 km draw distance.
Which route for example? A SimRail Chatham and Medway Lines will cause DTG to make them for TSW3 both were TSC Routes.
Where do you get the updates from? Last update on Steam is from March and it seems the game is postponed until who knows when since on STeam they claimed "3rd Quarter" 2022
Early access is scheduled for ~ December, probably. Check SimRail Facebook, YouTube, and Discord for fresh info. BR o7
TSW has tons of Uk routes, if Simrail won't have uk routes, it's not a big deal in my opinion. On the opposite, it's good that somebody does routes outside the boring Uk, Germany, US trio.
If they will be no UK routes I wouldn't buy it but if there was the odd one then I would. A games company doing any market research would obviously go where the money is and capitalise on that.
I don't think you should worry about that. There will be a editor for this game, so in any way there will be UK routes
Wow, impressively detailed. But .............. doesn´t this look a little too clean? I really doubt you´d see it this way in real life. Maybe 700m after leaving the factory, but then? What are the hardware requirements for this sim? NASA Mars explorer?
The main problem with SimRail is that for me at least it’s competing in a saturated market. Years ago we would have welcomed it but now as it is I am dividing my time between TSW3, TSC and Run 8, haven’t looked at OR/MSTS for months. Still got loads to do in Snowrunner and ATS/ETS2 still keep dragging me in occasionally. At some point I need to peek round the corner of MSFS again, too. So unless it offers something truly groundbreaking I would end up buying, playing for an hour or two then abandoned on the HD - which is exactly what’s happened to Sailaway (a bit LOVE anyway) and another sailing game.
I hope SR will become euro-train-multiplayer experience withe dense traffic and many between-players interaction on busy tracks. There is no such thing on the market today.
Very exciting features being promised! I guess we'll just have to wait until 2021, when Simrail 2021 comes out, to see if it manages to hit those big goals.
Good and for Simrail I wonder what would their first German route be? For me, it's Bahnstrecke Berlin Reppen Breslau (Berlin Repzin Wroclaw 319 km 198.3 mi) or Dresden Neustadt Gorlitz Breslau (Dresden Neustadt Gorlitz Weglinec Wroclaw) Line 264.7 km 164.5 mi. The first one Berlin Repzin Wroclaw is more likely because it has been made for Simrail Commerical version used by PKP to train EU44 Taurus and EU46 Vectron drivers to cross from Poland to Germany.
Sounds good to me. I work in Wrocław and I live close to it. There is a "new" (old) very nice commuter branch re-open from WRO to Sobótka near Ślęża Mountain. BR o7
Thank you for telling me about this and in the picture What type of diesel multiple unit is it? A batch might be SHP PZB equipped for Wroclaw Görlitz Dresden Hbf via Dresden Neustadt
This is a hybrid called Impuls 2 https://www.newag.pl/oferta/hybrydowy-zespol-trakcyjny/ & the route itself
It's a great looking game in its early infancy, hopefully it will kick DTG in the right direction for them to pull their fingers out and stop faffing around with silly updates and actually release a new feature.
Creeping track shadows, pop in track shadows, short shadow distance. (45 min on the vid.) Sound familiar ? Wonder why this is such an issue ?
You missed my sarcasm I am aware of performance limitations. The shadows in TSW are constantly criticized, and rightly so. It's interesting to see the same issues in a new game.......
Nearly every game has such "issues". These are limitations from the actual used hardware. The trick is, to cover most of the visual artifacts with assets. But that is not really possible when you are in a train sim. The speed, the amount of assets needed, the needed amount of compute power for the simulation (do not underestimate that, even when you think that TSW does not have any simulation going on...). Try it. Play a beloved AAA game and do not care about the gameplay. Watch the visuals by detail. Try to get how they trick the eye. It's quite interesting as soon as you get the idea how that works. And then you maybe get the idea why that does not work with a type of game like a train simulator with real scaled routes. Even ATS/ETS showing these shadows that you can chase. They are just bit better covered and further away because all is scaled down. Also, lots of popping in of assets in all those shiny games. You just do not notice that a lot since you do concentrate on gameplay and not on environment, other than in a train where most of the time it's quite boring and you have time to "scan" the environment with your eyes.
You misunderstood. I Am mostly happy with TSW3 & I fully understand what you are saying. The amount of DTG bashing on this forum is incredibly frustrating at times. I just think it's quite ironic, that on a forum dedicated to TSW, where certain members constantly bash the game, claim that certain fixes are easy, etc, etc, that a new game comes along with similar problems and deficiencies. Perhaps the fixes are not as simple as some people on here seem to believe. Fwiw, it's only the rail shadows that frustrate me. If they could be isolated and disabled, ini tweaks can deal with the rest for those that have the power to do so. The game looks great in more areas than not. I would rather have no rail shadows than what we currently have.
