Early morning stopper at the crack of dawn. 37 419 and 37422 arrive at Brundle Gardens at 4:03 on the 4:00 service to Great Yarmouth
On a nice cool morning in April, 1952; Union Pacific 844 pulls out of Cheyenne with a passenger train in tow. Route Used: Sherman Hill Locomotive Used: Union Pacific FEF-3
A Pennsy coal drag makes its way out of Altoona. Route Used: Horseshoe Cruve Locomotive Used: Pennsylvania Railroad K4
What ever happened to "Do not upvote until Thursday"? There needs to be a better way of enforcing that rule.
It might be dawn but the trains keep on coming! A busy scene at Gatwick Airport with the sun rising over a FFC service to Bedford and a GatX service to Brighton.
Shortly after sunrise, Amtrak 210 prepares to haul the Zephyr out from Provo station to Helper on the Soldier Summit Route.
At little bit too early for the Treble on a First Great Western HST from Paignton towards London in the early morning on the The Riviera Line: Exeter - Paignton.
My ratings will be as folllows:- 1)Rob Jansen---The place of photograph is amazing. It brings out the TSW like graphics in GWR , great!!! 2)Juro---The place chosen of photograph depicts the the kind of physics trains are subject to while in a hilly curve.--awesome.
With the morning sun just peaking over the mountaintops it's creating some nice shadows on the ground. Arosa Line
In the early morning the sun is still hiding behind the ridge, leaving the Aerotrain in the shadows under a sky full of stars. Horseshoe Curve
It's an early morning in County Durham, and a J94 is pictured here headed south on a stopping service to Bishop Auckland on the Weardale and Teesdale Network.
Dawn is breaking at Warehouse Point, and an extra piggyback freight bound for New York is headed up by GP9 #0410 just before crossing the Connecticut River on the Springfield Line.
A V2 on a milk train, perhaps diverted from the main line, crosses the River Wear approaching Bishop Auckland as the Sun clambers above the horizon. (Weardale and Teesdale Network in the 60's using the "secret" locomotive included with the Robinson O4.)
A Class 66 draws hoppers across Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle line while shepherds eye the red morning sky with concern. (This picture was created for another competition a few weeks ago but I think it fits the theme.)
@everyone Hey folks, I'm sorry to say Luke's been a bit under the weather and hasn't been able to make it to the office. He'll hopefully be back on his feet tomorrow and able to pick up the screenshot contests again Cheers, Martin
450008 just pulling into Brighton at about 05:15 in the morning. The day's just dawning, and the station is already bustling with people.
Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay in starting the voting this week, this was due to me being ill. Voting may start now, please don't downvote, this doesn't effect the overall scores.
Luke's out again this week and we had a 4-way tie - I've chased up a bunch of the team and after a round of internal voting the winner is.... *drum roll* Railfan722! Congratulations on a great screenshot
Which 4-way tie? Trenemre with his Isle of Wight screenshot was the only one with 4 votes when voting closed.
Too bad just before your reply my shot had the most votes. But if the team didn't like it, it can't be helped
Thanks, everyone! Glad to hear that people around the office think that it's a good shot, though there certainly was some competition this week. I hope Luke is better soon.
