Some quick shots of Hamburg Hbf as I was waiting for my own train. A 146 was on RE8 to Lübeck, and another was on RE1 to Büchen. I did also catch a 112 on RE70 to Kiel. Didn’t pay attention to where the ICE was headed.

The last one is an OBB Motorail Ddm915 160 kmh under LZB Innsbruck-Hamburg Altona. In-game this train can only run 140 kmh using the Laaers 560 on LZB
Nothing special Was on a bike tour and here is Hamburg-Harburg (route Hamburg-Hannover). Next time i will try to take some pictures of the Hamburg Maschen shaunting yard (biggest in Europe). Its quite impressive.
In the absence of anything to do yesterday, I headed up to Ipswich for a few hours to enjoy some trains

I shot this video in 2021 of a Class 66214 but I had to run to catch it this explain the shaking: Sadly I couldn’t get on the tracks as I don’t know anyone from this yard
100 years old (well one or two parts maybe lol) 60103 (4472) Flying Scotsman passes through Poole Tender first working 5Z74 0452 Southall (WCR) - Swanage Railway. This will haul a few trains on Swanage Railway then spend the rest of its time on display at Swanage.
Nice! It past near me today but sadly I wasn't aware it was in my presence 3 hours after it passed me. Know when the return ecs is???
A 100 car long train, made out of 25 identical EMUs, setting a world record for the longest passenger train: https://www.trains.com/trn/news-rev...ts-record-for-worlds-longest-passenger-train/
Yesterday, due to the weather, I decided to brave the cold and do some railfanning in the Tehachapi Mountains, here is some of what I got.... En-route to Tehachapi, I caught up to a short UP manifest train bound for Bakersfied, so I got off CA-99 near Famoso, and was able to catch it with a trio of parked BNSF locos in a siding. A BNSF Z-Train heading down to Bakersfield, photo from between Sandcut and Edison. The 1st of the snow pics, a eastbound UP manifest just past Monolith, as the snow started to fall again. Was lucky, as I was able to get a meet with it and a Westbound UP autorack train. Activity on the pass slowed, so I headed out to the desert to catch the Lone Pine Local. On return, found a eastbound UP manifest near Woodford, got a pic of it there and going thru Tehachapi. Last a eastbound UP intermodal, 1st caught at the loop, was also hoping to get some shot of it going thru town but..... But it parked just outside of town, as it let a higher priority BNSF train by. So got a nice side by side of them in town.
Here are some photos of trains at Broughty Ferry, near Dundee, Scotland: Trains featured: 158741 going to Dundee from Arbroath, 170403 passing going from Perth to Aberdeen and 158704 going from Dundee to Arbroath Had a pleasant 158 bash back to Arbroath on 704 afterwards to get my tea of chips, cheese and curry sauce with an Oreo Milkshake, my second milkshake of the day
Thanks, like I say, I don't live in Broughty Ferry, the reason I was there was because I was on a day out with my stepdad/biological dad and wanted to play the crazy golf course by the castle but that was shut so decided to go to the train station and had some time to kill and some trains passing or stopping until 158704 arrived to take us to Arbroath so took these pictures
Here are a couple more pictures from 2021 and 2020 respectively Nice photos took from an overbridge where I live back when times weren't the best let's say...

Yesterday my dad and I decided to go out train watching at our usual spot in Wauseon, Ohio. Upon arriving at around 9am, we soon learn there was a train that had broken a brake hose connection causing it to go into emergency while in the crossover. This cause quite a bit of backup in both directions and once the train was moving again, there was non-stop traffic until about 1pm. After getting some lunch at around 2, we visited the coal staging yard in Swanton, then heading back to West Delta to catch the local leaving the steel mill and a few more trains before it got too dark out. I mostly take video but my video camera can take pictures while it records, so the quality isn't the best. Here are just some highlight photos from the trip. (more in the following post) 1. The unit sand train was the first to leave after the manifest in emergency left. A eastbound intermodal waits for the track to clear. 2. A while later, a hotshot intermodal train runs around a slower intermodal (further down the line). 3. The slower intermodal (from the post above), finally passes through after two other trains go around it. 4. A westbound intermodal with a nice, freshly painted UP SD70ACe on the point. 5. Another sand train, this time eastbound, rolls through with some CP power behind.
6. Passing by near West Delta, a grain train is spotted loading in a loop, while local B41 gets ready to switch the steel mill. 7. A shot of the Swanton coal staging yard. All that was there was an empty train waiting to return to the mine. 8. Heading back to West Delta, we heard the local wanting to leave, however dispatch told them to wait for a few trains to pass. This was one of the many trains that he had to wait for. 9. An EB intermodal passes through West Delta in the twilight hours. 10. Last train of the day had this nice catch. I love the H1 pumpkin scheme and seeing one on NS tracks is quite rare. (picture didn't come out great but oh well).
