As per the title - is anyone else finding that all Bakerloo line trains are running devoid of passengers? This is using the new timetable.
(PS mods sorry feel free to move to TSW3 feedback forum... posted in the wrong location - my mistake!)
Yep, really frustrating to say the least. Finally have an epic timetable, but hardly anyone around - kind of spoils the immersion. Still, since TSW 3, Bakerloo has actually been my most played route nonetheless.
This issue with empty trains I have only seen in TSW3 version of Bakerloo line. In the TSW2 version which I still have it is all good there are passengers in the trains and they board.
this is an issue with all routes. I find all the passengers get off at the first stop. I've just done a run to Brighton and the train was virtually empty after Clapham Junction
Yes I have played it nonstop ever since the new time table. Would hope to get the metropolitan line or even the Elizabeth line.
Must admit I have stopped playing Bakerloo since discovering all that AP generated on each short run artificially elevated it to your favourite route and train...
Sadly this one is not game-breaking, so low priority issue for DTG but immersion-breaking, so high priority issue for "few" of us. BR o7
I've noticed this behaviour on other routes as well. The issue is, it is not all stops, on all routes, but only some. On some the passengers will board no problem, on other they just stand there and stare, and not one of them boards. I've observed this behaviour also on london commuter and Tees Valley.
I have the opposite issue with Arosa, couldn't find a spare seat in 1st class or 2nd. So had to stand all the way. Never knew Avanti West Coast was already in game.
Nah they are not yet, constant cancellations are not a feature in TSW, maybe one day! Would be a cracking feature
Dtg does have the avanti license but only for creators club. A while back when Avanti first got added, Matt said he wasn't planning on making dlc for avanti at that moment. They probably are still in the talks in getting the license so we'll keep on having to wait until dtg creates the dlc
I took a walk last night around some of the BKL stations and kept bumping into and having my path blocked by invisible passengers so I do think they are there, its just they are all chameleons and are blending into the trains.
Man, you've killed me with this so they are there - they just forgot to take their textures with them when leaving home?
Absolutely, both are as equally frustrating. As someone mentioned above, while not a game-breaking bug, for an immersive sim fixing this should be a top priority regardless. Have been playing BKL lately, and while I absolutely love the timetable and all the AI rolling stock included (one of my favourite routes now), the empty trains just completely spoil it. While empty trains and lack of passengers seem common across most routes, London Commuter especially, for a route like BKL this is not acceptable - the last service I played was Stonebridge Park to Elephant & Castle, the platforms where actually busy, but nobody got on until Queens Park, they all suddenly left again by the next stop Kilburn, so mostly empty again except for a few passengers until the end. Please look into the passengers DTG, especially for subway routes like BKL, as if you want immersion, then this is should be improved.
Perhaps the bakerloo passengers are still wired up for the old timetable… Can’t think what else could’ve changed
Well, if the reason for it is the failure in rush hour passengers system, then I'm pretty sure DTG will fix it. Otherwise, why would Pres Crew be updating all old routes with a feature, which is bugged? This way if they make a fix for RH passengers it will (hopefully) be working as expected on every route.
I have both problems. invisible passengers on platforms empty trains Bugs which were not in present in TSW2 ... Oh god this dev team
Ah yes, the fix that was supposed to improve this problem needs a fix. The irony. As far as I know, the passenger values haven't changed from tsw2 and tsw3 rush hour passenger system. The rush hour passenger system really was an increase in the number of passengers. For some reason, DTG didn't program all passengers when at a station in tsw 2 and now 3 that are at a station to get on the the train. Some do but often times when they are on the platform, they just don't get on even when some do arrive on the platform. Also most passengers getting off at Lambeth North for instance after leaving Elephant and Castle on the Bakerloo line for instance is quite odd and has been reported many times. DTG hasn't programmed a fix for that issue which has happened before rush hour as well. The problem isn't the rush hour passenger system to some degree (although invisible passengers were an issue for me even in tsw2 and now 3 on the BKL at Elephant and Castle at times). The problem is the way that it was implemented versus what DTG clamed it was going to improve and do. What DTG claimed it would improve and do hasn't fully happened and this has been an issue for a year when the system was introduced and even longer on routes that don't have rush hour passengers such as London Commuter where passengers on a Gatwick Express train heading from Brighton to Victoria all get off at Gatwick Airport but passengers at Gatwick don't get on the Gatwick Express train. This is an issue that should've been resolved a long time ago and I don't understand why this is still an issue in tsw 3. DTG has also been silent on this issue for a long time
Not sure if related, but I also can't Sit down on passenger seats on London Underground trains in Train Sim World 3 when they leave Elephant and Castle and several other spots, (but can at others).
There's a grief that can't be spoken There's a pain goes on and on Empty trains at empty platforms Now my stations' empty, bored. Here they talked of evolution Here it was they sat to wait Here they sang about the next train But when it came, they stayed in place.
BCC was good for passengers but after this update trains are empty again because the significantly reduced the amount of pax that get on at duddeston and redditch
