Getting quite fed up at my PS5 downloading the TSW 2 and PS4 versions of add ons when I only have the PS5 version of TSW 3 installed. What gives?
Is this something you only experience with TSW3? For me TSW2 only downloads the "best" version when I leave it to download automatically. The button labelled "Download" on the right when you purchase new DLC will only download the PS5 version from my experience. I haven't taken the plunge to purchase TSW3 yet so can't confirm or deny anything for that game on PS5. Note that I'm using the console itself not the mobile app, as sometimes the mobile app doesn't provide the best experience
All your existing TSW2 DLC shows as free but when you buy it, it downloads either 2 versions, both PS5 and PS4 or sometimes even all 4 (adding TSW2 PS5 and PS4), if you claim a large route first you at least get the chance to claim the rest and then delete the duplicates from the download queue before the first one finishes.
It's more a Sony problem than anything. I downloaded Sonic Origins back when that came out over Summer and when purchased on my PS5, it tried to download and install both the PS4 and PS5 version at the same time plus the pre-order bonuses for both versions. Wish they would get it sorted because it's very annoying
If you own both TSW2 and TSW3 on PS5, there's no way to differentiate between the 2. It is a case of queue up your downloads, go to the download manager and delete the TSW2 version. Annoying.
