Xbox Hst Livery Editor On Console.

When will we be able to create livery’s for the class 43 & mk3’s in tsw2&3? It seems to be the only loco/stock unavailable for edit on console. I just want to make a swallow hst ☹️

 

You'll be waiting a while. Giving livery designer support to each train isn't an easy task and takes a long time to do

 

I assumed as much. I just thought it would be one of the 1st they did, considering it’s og tsw1 content & probably one of the most famous locos/trains in the uk/world. Here’s hoping 2023 is the year

 

The HST (Class 43) is still meant to be the first in line.

When 43 is on Livery Designer I will make liverys of Network Rail, LNER, Cross Country, Intercity Retro Liverys and more

 

I could be wrong, but I think the main issue with the HST is the engaving of GWR on the side - it would be weird having the GWR protruding from the body of the HST in any other livery.

 

Well that isn't true (DB Br 155, DB Br 204, Class 33,...) but as said before it will come hopefully soon

 

Hopefully might get at least a mention in Octobers roadmap

 

Can't they use the FGW version

 

The hst is Britain's most iconic train to gatekeep it in the gwr livery (possibly one of the most boring and worst liverys) would be a shame

 

Perhaps, but I think the issue there is that I don't think the GWR version will spawn, and they don't have the license to use the FGW one officially (at least from what I have heard - I don't have the mod myself)

Maybe so, but I actually like the GWR livery, so I don't mind it. I would like to see many more liveries though.

 

Though not as nice as the IC, LNER or XC liveries I quite like the green and personally the most boring livery goes to the East Coast silver with the purple stripe. It became tiresome very quickly.

 

I like the XC livery on the HSTs which I still see on the Plymouth trains running through Northumberland. 0710 from Alnmouth which I travelled on to Plymouth in 2013 for a reunion.

 

I was just thinking if there ever could be a livery that didn't suit the HST, and I got the Southern livery. Luckily, that never happened, and operators had liveries that really suited the HST.

That being said, the Southern livery really suits the Electrostar, Turbostars, and 455s when they were around, but not so much the 313s

 

I think dovetails currently is or is planning to on make GWE rolling stock livery compatible as I remember seeing an stream or article (hard to remember) where they showed how they make trains livery designer compatible where they showed two trains an class 166 and an unidentified German shunter. So I think they're planning on or are doing it.

 

Correct, they are. We can only wait and see as to whether they do it or not...

For me I'll make any western hst livery. Even the special old oak common gwr livery.

I'm sorry somebody else told me they said they couldn't, they said the reason DTG gave was it would require redoing the HST from the ground up in order to make it reskinable (which i think dtg are lying about)

 

Ah I see. Well I was half expecting this, but am disappointed nonetheless. Oh well.

 

Isn't it in (or coming to) TSW 3? (I saw it somewhere, can't remember where though)

 

You probably saw it on the roadmap in a test environment in a test Intercity livery
