Wondering if anyone can help with this. Starting this scenario in TSW3, see here

And the front coupler is engaged as if a train has been attached at the front and the consist has been split. I'm unable to work out how to close the coupler which is not allowing the train to apply power. See below

    What am I doing wrong?

The train will be able to move with the coupler open. It should close automatically at speed. I can't remember if there's a button on the right hand panel, but it should not prevent you from taking power.

Have you tried closing the doors and releasing the brakes before taking power? The screenshot makes it seem like this is the issue.

I have, I've tried doing everything I would do normally and I can't get the train moving. The amps will rise, then drop off and the train will crawl along at approximately 2-3mph not applying any power

The coupler should have no issue with the train moving

Is it wheelslip - are you applying too much power?

Is it AFB? Is it limiting you to 5km/h?

selector on forward gear, open the passenger doors, press the coupling control button and the bonnet of the train will close automatically at 30km/h

You got it, it was AFB set to 5km/H. I've not come across a scenario yet where AFB is already switched on so that's what threw me . Well saved that man!

Would've been nice for some kind of prompt on this, taken me days of frustration and restarting before I finally posted this thread

Interestingly, in your screenshot, AFB seems to be disabled.

    Glad to help nonetheless.

Well this is what threw me, I hadn't switched AFB on as shown in the screen shot above and below. Yet its quite obviously set as the train will not power past 5km/h. This is so far the only scenario I've come across where it's switched on from the word go. Maybe it's a coupling speed hence why the coupler is open?
