The code for this new TSW3 add-on in development is 3.NBB-L7 01, which means it's an US 2011 onward Electric AC Locomotive. What could it be guys? Give your speculation!!! Cheers SRD
DTG team did record the Acela's sound when they had survey trip for Boston Sprinter (or NEC) a couple years ago if my memories serve me well. So it make sense to be honest.
Imo a BNSF AC4400CW for Cajon Pass (yes these are real, google it) but i'm hoping for an add-on for either Sherman Hill and Horseshoe Curve like UP ES44AC or NS SD70ACC.
Personally, I think a BNSF C44-9W would be more likely for Cajon Pass since BNSF has a lot of C44-9Ws (over 1600), including the 100 that ATSF purchased in the mid 1990s. A C44-9W DLC pack would include the following: -BNSF (ATSF Patched Warbonnet) C44-9W -BNSF H1 C44-9W -BNSF H2 C44-9W -BNSF H3 C44-9W -BNSF AC44C4M Rebuild in H3 livery (maybe) A BNSF GP60 pack would be my second choice for a new loco. A GP60 DLC Pack could include the following: -BNSF (ATSF Patched) Spartan-Cab GP60 -BNSF H4 GP60 -BNSF (ATSF Patched) GP60B in Superfleet Warbonnet livery -BNSF H4 GP60B -BNSF (ATSF Patched) GP60M in Superfleet Warbonnet livery -BNSF GP60M-3 Rebuild in H4 livery -My other ideas for US loco DLCs: -BNSF, NS, CSX, and CN SD70ACe/BNSF SD70ACe-P4 -UP/BNSF/CSX SD70ACe-T4 -UP/CSX/NS/CN ET44AC and/or BNSF ET44C4 -UP SD70M and/or CSX/BNSF SD70MAC; CN SD70I, SD70 -NS SD60E, AC44C6M, SD80MAC, SD70ACu, SD70ACC -GP60 in NS, UP, and CSX liveries -UP AC6000CW (C4460AC or C44ACM) -CSX AC6000CW or SD80MAC -BNSF, UP, NS, and/or CSX Genset Switcher -BNSF SD75M/SD75I and also CN SD75I -UP SD90-43MAC
What a list! I love to see those engines on TSW3, but I'm afraid none of those engines fit the add-on codes NBB-L7 01. It must be a fully electric locomotive.
I don't think that it'll be an AEM-7 or HHP-8 because it's 2011+, and both of those locomotives were retired, meaning it would say 2011-2014 or 2011-2016. So it's most likely going to be the Amtrak Acela Express.
