    Hi everyone
I play the game hudless and there's no way of knowing when to close the doors when doing so .
Would there be a chance in the future that a icon or light be placed in the cab so when it's time to close the doors we will then see a light to tell us to close the doors .
As it stands when at stations I briefly put hud on to tell me when I can close the door . Thanks

If you're playing UK routes there's usually a blue "door interlock" light that is on when the doors are closed, so you can tell when the door close routine finishes using this.

    Yeah, just done so
Only way of knowing would be to write down departure times before setting off. IRL drivers would have a list such as this given to them

But then the problem is whether it's ai generated or manually inputted so the timings might be off

Really, so long as the passenger loading routine has completed the actual time of departure is only relevant to keep to realism, so if you arrive in good time and leave at the correct time you're not going to fall foul of the clock either way
So knowing your timings and keeping to them (which you're likely to be better at given you're trying to drive HuDless so presumably you've practiced WITH HuD) would work fine

Some trains like the Electrostar come with a clock inside them. I believe the Electrostars have the clock on the left hand screen, with the Networkers having it in the dashboard, and the Javelin on the screen on the left as well. Not all trains (Such as the 313 and basically any route with old rolling stock such as the Class 45) have it though, and this factor makes it very difficult - even when you write down the timings.

Another option would be to record how long the timer requires you to open the doors for, then use a stopwatch, and hope that the "whoomp" of the completed objective plays when you close the doors.

Currently, I use the method of turning the HUD on at stations only, as it is the easiest, and I'm not that fussed about it. Others may not be so liberal, and are entirely entitled to remain that way if they wish, since it does no harm to them or anyone else.

Almost all modern UK routes have PIS which also has the game time on it as well

I use this workaround as well. Perhaps DTG could add a "whomp" sound when the passenger loading routine is complete. Or, better yet, ring the bell twice for us!

Instead, they could do a 1-2 bell (which means "close doors")

I wonder how this would work on things like Boston Sprinter or any German route or the London Undeground? Perhaps that's where the whoomph could come in.

At this point I think it's just too much work for them to spend time on, with very little impact (most probably don't play with HUD)
