Very much looking forward to the new UK route.

ECML would be fun in TSW3, but I think variety is important, it would be cool to also have the Moorgate and Hertford North Loop lines, a childhood favourite :)

So between now and release, what is the likelihood that we'll get some teasers for the upcoming routes, or are they just going to announce them a week or so before release?

People are speculating it is the north clyde/ argly lines in glasgow. Rivet games ALWAYS show old renders on there facebook page as a guessing game. Just because someone has saw Partick automatically people assume thats the route lets wait and see

Must admit, as much as I would like it to be North Clyde as represented in TSC, I question whether Rivet have the skills to pull off a network style project and the complex timetable that will need to come with it. Let’s face it, they only managed to supply six scenarios with the TSC version. More likely it will be a 20 mile linear run somewhere, with limited replay value. Though happy to be proved wrong!

You make a valid point. Until they prove us wrong we must assume the worst.let’s hope with TSW3 They start fresh and make a good product for the community

The roadmap graphic looks clearer than ever in the new graphic so keep that format it's great.

What I dislike is still continuing to not disclose new routes. If it's on the roadmap we should at least know what the route title is.

I thought that was due to announcement early on stream. But I agree as with West Cornwall local added early and not alot was spoken about it. So perhaps add a route to roadmap say what it is knowing it's under 3 months release date not 6 months.

The GEML would also be a great route and one that can actually be done. If we look at it closely Liverpool to Ipwich is around 70 miles. 22 train stations in between not including any of the branches. The four tracks go to Schenfield and after that is double track and mostly country side. The trains depending on the year is set can be class 321,class 360, class 90, I won’t expect the 745 since is fairly new.For freight the can include either Parkeston yard or felixstowe with a new freight loco like class 70 or even class 86. These are just my opinions and nothing more.I’m very excited with not one but two UK routes in the route map.

Which would be great but for the 70 or 86 I doubt unless they get the Freightliner licence. Although the Freightliner 66's are used up there alot as well.

It would be an ambitious project but could be done in phases. The best section to start with would be Balloch - Airdrie, with the branches off to Milngavie and Springburn. That way you have good variety, and should you wish to expand later, a large chunk of the core is already done.

Once you break the timetable down it’s not overly complicated either. For the main part:
2 trains per hour Balloch - Airdrie.
2 trains per hour Milngavie - Springburn

I’m obviously just hoping it will be some variation of this line for various reasons. I’d rather they let us know what it is so we can stop speculating and manage expectations.

Disappointed Rivet are doing a uk route. I would like WCL to be brought up to the standard of other developers and to which we are used to, first.

I would think they will attempt a Scottish route and being local they should have no excuses in their attempt to deliver a decent offering and not the amateurish offering we had with WCL.. Somehow I think not!!!!

I just wish Rivet would concentrate on what they are good at. The recreation of locomotives for the game and leave route development to the professionals!

Rivet doesn't have a great track record when it comes to trains such as physics and sounds either lol. At least they are good at modeling the train and the stations (cathcart)

North Clyde timetable wouldn’t be any more complicated than the Cathcart circle with it’s branches and variations.

Very true but it seemed to be too much for them in the TSC version, when we got a grand total of 4 electric services, plus 2 for the 158 - one to Anniesland and the other a trial run from Cowlairs to Helensburgh Upper.

Probably at least a month before the dlc is released so they can do livestreams and such. But we'll just have to wait until an article gets released

On the GEML they can also have the Elizabeth line with the 345 or 315 from Liverpool street to Shenfield. This would make the route even busier. Not sure if there would be room for any of the branches (like braintree) or wickford for Great Anglia

That's a dtg issue since rivet only did the models of the stations and stuff, not the lighting.

The AC route will, I suspect, make use of the AC stock in the game with maybe one new piece of kit so as to make it more interesting. So in order of likelihood (in my opinion).
    1. East Coast Mainline South. 313/387 with HST and either a 365 (remake of the 465 maybe) and a new 91/Mk4/DVT set.
    2. St. Pancras to Bedford 387 with a new 700 and of course HSTs. Maybe linked to BML to make Thameslink. St. Pancras already built.
    3. West Coast Main Line South - 313/TS72!/377s and maybe a 390.
    4. GWR Modern era - 387s and....gasp. 800s?
    5. C2C - 387s and new 357s.

I know they're all in the Network South East area but there's a huge gap on the TSW map north of the Thames right up past the Midlands.

It’s a shame that such an expansive network has been skimped on in the scenario/services department. Huge potential for interesting scenarios.

You forgot 325 92 with Caledonian Sleeper on WCML South. You forgot about Class 92 being TVM-430 equipped that way you can run freight on HS1 from Barking to Ashford. MML St Pancras to Bedford Class 700 can also arrive using a Rush Hour Train Pack bundle Acela Express Boston Dresden ICE-T MML BML Class 700

The thing about WCML South is that's also DC, which I don't think is reflected in the route code. I reckon if it is to be the WCML it'll be something in the midlands or north west.

Does the route code not normally just reflect the locos that come with the route?

So WCML could be Classes 390 and 350 and still fulfil the code. The Bakerloo line trains would presumably layer in (although I'd go the whole hog and just continue to include the entire thing given that half of it will be included anyway - surely the vast majority of players have it as carryover from TSW2 base pack and you could simply drop the BKL2022 timetable straight onto it, presumably saving Joe a whole load of hassle).

This could then be followed up with a Class 710 or 378 DLC for the Overground services.

WCML is AC, only the Overground part that run right from it & Bakerloo Line are DC (afaik, correct me if i'm wrong :D)

    I didn't forget anything. I'm not looking at what I want, I'm looking at what seems like a commercial likelihood. Two pretty rare classes seem unlikely when we didn't even get on to the other WCML South classes you could say I forgot about;
    eg 81-87,304, 310, 317, 319, 321, 350, 370, 378, 501, 710, 730 to name many.

Hello, is it something "expected" to have the DB highspeed trains (Germany) dissappearing a few days ago of starting to use TSW3? As I cannot find any of the two initial DB trains I used to entertain myself with, and have downloaded all available basic packages from the XBOX Store.

    Thanks!

I’m wondering if it would be better not to speculate which routes are coming, once revealed we would see release date speculation which in my opinion would put pressure on DTG to release before it is ready which would then lead to complaints from users. Let’s just wait and see what comes when it comes!

I think the Rivet games one will be a Scottish route because they have been hinting alot at it. I hope it's Edinburgh to Glasgow via Shotts. With Class 385's and Class 380's. The Class 380 is my favourite train and it runs on my local route so it is my dream to be able to drive it in the game

It's not. It's just a photo of Partick Station In Scotland from their TSC route. They confirmed this on their forums that this was not a hint and just some advertisement for their other route.

To add to the whole speculation regarding the new routes, two new depots were added in todays updated for what could two of the upcoming routes.
Those sizes are important, as it gives a clue as to how big (or small) a route may be. For comparison sake, the former depot is the same size as the ones for Rhein-Ruhr Osten, Long Island Rail Road and Hauptstrecke München - Augsburg, while the later is around the same size as the likes of LGV Méditerranée and East Coastway.

This could of course change before either of these routes get released, but it's just something else to think about for now.

Perhaps we should go back to the old method for DLC releases i.e. DTG tell us absolutely nothing about what's coming up until they post a teaser a couple of weeks before the release? ;)

Ah so it turns out it was nothing to do with TSW after all…. As much as I was hoping for the fife circle line. I don’t think it will be since there is no overhead wires on that route. I have a feeling it’s Edinburgh to Glasgow by Rivet.

That is still an old favourite in TSC so I'd be delighted with Edinburgh to Glasgow. Question is, which era?
The cheaper option (for licencing purposes) would be the old push-pull 47's in Scotrail livery but my personal preference would be the modern era with EMUs. 385s and 380s would be good but I reckon they'd do one DMU and one EMU.
