Northern Trans Pennine Extention

Update the Northern trans pennine route and extend the routes length to Sheffield or something and possibly and more services.

 

Good idea mate.

 

Add the freight loco/rolling stock pack to the extension for more operations.

 

The logical extension(s) would be west to Liverpool Lime Street and north/east to York.

 

And also perhaps include some original 1st generation Transpennine dmus like the Class 123 and more specifically Class 124 as these should be seen along the route very frequently.

 

i remember thinking ahead of my time a year ago and making this suggestion Ntp Route Extension: Healey Mills | Dovetail Games Forums (sorry for shameless plug) the TLDR: making a little Branch off Mirfield to Healey Mills Marshalling Yard, pass Wakefield and loop back to Leeds, in it I suggested adding a Class 03 and 56 to take the roll of the Class 08 and 40, with some spanking new Coal Wagons to add some freight variety, i think it would be a Welcomed addition and to have a Class 03 an 56 would be cool IMO,
and there can even be a few extra Class 101 services thrown in there

 

Bring it on and for the York/Hull extension Bring a class 56 locomotive has two versions 001-030 Communist Romania and 031 upwards BREL York this will do Freight services DMUs 123 & 124

 

I wish this route was modern so much

 

Well you have the new TSC version which sort of caters for that. The whole appeal of our much loved TSW version is driving those classic old locos, for ancient diesel heads like myself.

 

I would love for this route to have an extension. With some new trains though, maybe a Class 156 or a Class 158?
