Sorry if this has been explained before on this big forum, but how you can turn off the Class 66 red lights?
Both the front and back ones!

The locomotive now it has always those lights always on.
I tried with the lights control, but could not turn off.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Thanks

If you look at the panel on the left you have the “tail light” button that will turns on/off the tail lights from the back of the loco

They have been broken for ages!

To fix, goto the circuit breaker box behind the driver (same box that has AWS/DSD isolation) & look for tail lights I think it's on the bottom towards the left, flick switch off then back on & it should operate as normal now.

Thanks, I didn't think about that for a solution. Hope DTG fixes it... maybe in a couple of years :-p

If only DTG had done some sort of bug fixing update on GWE recently they could have sorted this :D

Another answer to this is to go to the rear cab, you can turn the tail lights off from there!

Tail lights always operate the lights on the opposite side of the train.

This is a legacy holdover from when we built the train, reading carefully the Class 66 manual that we used - only to then find out much later (after GWE release) that the 66 was like that for precisely one unit only, and after that the tail light switch was rewired to operate the local tail lights not the remote ones.

We just haven't done the rewiring ourselves yet, it all works so there are other more important things that are broken that need fixing first.

If this is NOT what you're referring to, please update me :)

As far as I can tell there is a bug in the 66 that the tails stay illuminated until the breaker is cycled off/on then they function normally.

Can you confirm exact repro steps for this? Give me a specific train/service or a scenario or something so that I can make sure i'm re-testing exactly what you're seeing. I just tried it with the class 66 from sehs on my dev build and all *seems* fine - so unless it's been fixed already it might be it's simply not on this exact model.

    Thanks
    Matt.

One thing I have noticed is on East Coastway route, the Class 66 at the front, it always appears backwards!
Yes it is a double cab locomotive.
But related to this issue about the red lights, in that case you have to go to the other cab in order to switch off the red lights.
    Which is a bit annoying.
Mainly considering you can not go inside the locomotive to the other cab.
You have to get out and then walk to the other cab, step up to it, and then get the corresponding switch.

    Hope this can be fixed.
I mean about the Class 66 be on the "main cabin" on East Coastway. I mean the one with the switches.
On the map you can see it is backwards.
