I tried the new tsw 3, but ended up refunding, as it just doesn't bring enough value for me, at least for the asking price. The de luxe version on a discount might be worth it, IMHO. Is there any chance for it to be on a discount any time soon? I might consider it at something like 40% discount maybe.
If you're on pc and on steam, just look up steam sale dates and it'll tell you when the next date is. Steam sometimes has back to back sales. You've also got festival of rail sales with dtg does every year, etc
Honestly I get it. I've played it on Game Pass cos I was curious but not at that price, and I'll probably get it in a year or two when it's half price like OP will. Part of it is living in a country that could have a very tough winter ahead, but I'll admit another part is not wanting to reward a model of biannual paid updates.
If you look hard enough, 40% discount off TSW3 standard edition is easily available right now if you are a steam player. Just not via steam.
CD Keys? When I look at TSW3 there are no routes I'm interested in and already have SEHS and not bothered at all by the Training Centre but might be interested if there were a version like that. and at the right price.
Instant gaming, games planet, greenman, etc, all do steam content for TSW. Prices and availability varies. Its ironic, but I have spent more on TSW routes by looking for discounts, than I ever would have at full price, simply because I bought more routes than planned
The fact that you got a refund for this game, but could easily blow 40-50 quid in your local boozer for the evening, just tickles my balls. Footballs obviously.
The best thing to do is buy in two years around July, in doing so you can moan you’ve been shafted as TSW4 releases and then end every forum post with “why aren’t they backporting features to tsw3”
When a new title goes on sale depends largely on the sales curve. Strong sales will give the publisher little reason to discount a product. There have been cases where newish routes were discounted pretty quickly after launch, Sherman Hill was one, I think, but only 10%, as I recall. But, generally speaking, you'll have to wait a minimum of 4-6 months before you see much movement in prices of new dlc. And the discounts are much lower these days, on average, than they used to be during Steam sales, 15-30% rather than the 25-40% of a couple of years ago.
Actually I picked up Sherman Hill and Oakville when they had an uber discount, on sale for something like £5. And to be fair, the amount of time I ended up spending on each that price is probably about right!
I just saw the standard version of TSW3 on CD-Keys for £17.99 and did think about it but then noticed it was out of stock.
Yes, I was thinking purely of Steam, but I'm sure there are deals to be found in the secondary market, though I never go there myself.
You saying that I remember gamers saying they would miss every other version of Fifa when it was released as it kept the game fresher than what it would have been buying every version. I still haven't bought TSW3 as there is nothing I want yet so I wonder if that could be applied here?
I just think its a utter wee take asking for a 40% discount after he bought it and then refunded it. Hentis
Probably waiting for everything to be backdated to tsw2 because is supposedly should be according to some zzzz
I agree he probably didn't but then he might have wanted to make his own mind up. Is that a really terrible idea?
Halloween sale is coming up for steam in around 11 days I believe so some stuff should be discounted like the tsw compatible content
Just bought it a 22€ (normal) And picked up rush hour for 17€ 45€ for 6 maps I m pretty happy All on kinguin
What was it you bought? I saw TSW3 with one route for £17.99 on CD Keys but not interested in the route.
