Even if it's WCML-related, it'll still leave a huge gap in TSW routes that covers the entirety of the original Eastern Region (ie south of The Humber). I'll be surprised if ECMLs/WAML/GEML/C2C are ignored for much longer.

It's not WCML. It's Birmingham Cross City. The signs are all there. They've hinted and the achievements are there. It's just what rivet games come out with is the real mistory

Everything from Class 100 to Class 199 is a Diesel Multiple Unit with either mechanical or hydraulic transmission. 200 to 299 are Diesel Electric Multiple Units.
300 to 399 are AC Electric Multiple Units with a few dual voltage types.
400 to 499 are DC Electric Multiple Units.
Classes in the 500 series are a mixture of voltage types including 750v DC 3rd Rail, 1200v DC side contact 3rd rail and 1500v DC overhead Multiple Units.
Lately Classes in the 700 and 800 series have been built being a mixture of AC, DC, Dual Voltage and Multi Mode power.

New design language has made them look much different than previous classes. There is much more design shared with EMUs today than previously. I hope my Class rundown was useful and helps everyone to understand BRs TOPS class structure.

I think it is somewhat safe to say, DTGs new UK route is Birmingham Cross City Line featuring Class 323 EMUs. This route includes the impressive Lickey Incline which should prove a challenge, especially going uphill. I hope we get a few freight moves as well with banking locomotives. In my opinion, all current information strongly suggests this will be the new route.

It was my understanding that the Cross City Birmingham route is a 3rd party one and not the new UK route from DTG but I guess we'll find out shortly.

So with it being annoceded that BCC Birmingham cross city line will be one of the next routes. What is the other one being made by rivet games as we haven't been given a reveal or release date so does anyone know where the route will be set between (by location not era). I do believe from what I heard it'll be somewhere in Scotland but does anyone know where.

Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High. Not too many stations. High speed so not alot of building required. New train Class 385. AC Electric. This route is close to them and one of the busiest in Scotland.
This post ain't because of evidence. Just pure speculation ;)

My money, at present, is still on Rivet's route being either the North Clyde Line or the Argyle Line with a suitable modern EMU. Likewise I have little to go on, just speculation.

Fingers crossed for this route. Rivets upcoming route is the one I’m anticipating most. Birmingham Cross City looks like it’s going to be good also. Can’t wait to see New Street station.
