I have tried a timetable and a training scenario, but the ability to insert the revers does not show up when using the mouse over the direction of travel control. I Tried CtrlW but that didn't do anything either.
How do I get the direction lever inserted?
    Cheers
    John

Have you turned the key on the 2nd man's side?

Just a guess: You left the key in the other Cab? (Happened to me)

It's a little offset. If you put your mouse directly over the reverser slot, you won't see the prompt. It's very slightly off to the side.

Thanks for the feedback. I found the point on the training, but on HRR (IC2255) it doesn't show up.
I'm going to validate the files, just in case.

Are you using a Raildriver? Sometimes my RD moves the absent lever to the neutral/fprward/reverse position and I have to move it back to the off position before it will let me insert the lever. No idea if using the W or S key would result in the same, or if its just a quirk of the RD.

This is an issue on US and German locos

Thanks Redrev. I do have the raildriver plugged in, and noticed last night that if I use the RD reverser I can set the direction, even though no lever appears in the cab.
it would be nice if there was an option to turn the RD off (instead of un-plugging it), I get all sorts of random events occurring (e.g. wipers turning on for no reason) and the need to recalibrate for different locomotives makes switching loco's a bit of a pain...
Sometimes it is just easier to use the keyboard...
Oh well, I guess I'll have to improvise for now, and wait for DTG to improve the RD interface.
