As I wrote in my message, I bought it for PlayStation. I don't use the PC for gaming, only for work. As far as I know, ETS doesn't have a console version, so I had to settle for this LOVE. I hadn't noticed that Aerosoft was only the publisher, thanks for letting me know.
Didn't think about it in that way. Maybe the route itself isn't built by him, but he might be part of it. I'm very excited about it! Though his 420 would also be very welcome sometime this year
So far he hasn't denied it and he has already written in this thread today, so he is reading it. I'll take it as "Silence gives consent". I may be disappointed later, but it was nice while it lasted!
I wouldn't expect a (new) 3rd party's first route to include more stock than even DTG ever makes. It will most likely have 1 new loco/DMU + whatever wagons are necessary, if there are any.
Hey look, we found out who's making Niddertalbahn! The recent roadmap added a unnamed third-party route with the code DGG-R6 01, which surely is for Niddertalbahn. The developer is none of than *checks notes*... Train Sim Germany?? All I can say is... wow... I did not see that one coming. Roadmap link: https://live.dovetailgames.com/live...cle/train-sim-world-roadmap-3rd-november-2022
It'll probable be out in 3 to 4 years judging by how long it has taken to release the 232 and the 420 for instance. Slow and steady wins the race though
...if TSG makes their first own TSW route, we expect absolute perfection. After all Maik has to defend his reputation! But because it's the first one, a few small bugs are perfectly human and justifiable.
TSG's content have always be top quality. Day 1 purchase with my eyes closed for my sake, as with any other TSG dlc.
So it’s set before 2010? That means that we will get either the VT628 (nice) and/or the BR218; and the last one is more likely imo because Mike wanted to do this one as he said a long time ago- that means we will get Dostos
Should be good... More than likely Day 1 purchase; only question - is this the Niddertalbahn or another route?
The code for TSG's route (DGG-R6 01) hints at a Diesel Hydraulic route set around 1991-2010, and Niddertalbahn just so happens to be a diesel-only route (and what would be TSW's first true German Diesel route at that). So I would say that it is.
I will buy the first route you build on day one. It is very good to have third party developers doing this.
This make sit very clear it is time to release a route using your own name. You deserve the credits for it!
Maybe the route is from another developer and Maik did the trains, catenary, etc. as on the TS classic Basel-Freiburg (which would be a banger in TSW tbh)
Until TSW3 released and the backlight broke... :/ When driving the G6 without freightwaggons, you notice that the backlights aren't properly working. I submitted a Ticket weeks ago and didn't get any response
I had the same thought. 218 has done the majority of the work at that time. Boy, that would be a dream come true <insert missing heart emoji here>.
I mean 218 is on TSG's planned to do list, supposed to be after Ludmilla (232). Maybe Maik and his team have been quiet about it because they're workin' on it in the background and surprise us. Tho' these locos do require a lot of work.
If a TSG Br 218 is really finally on the horizon... I won't get too hyped in case it's not actually coming, but that's a game changer
I don't want to spoil or hype anything, but if you decode the code: 3.DGG-R6 01, we end up with diesel hydraulics until 2010. This roadmap provides the crucial information. The fact that it is now being announced also signals that a certain amount of progress has already been made and the final concept is in place. So a small collection of pictures could help with what might be expected. Either way that would be awesome! I think that many also prefer suitable n-wagons than 4th gen Dostos again.
Bad joke anyways. I clearly know that i'm quite slow. But i do not have an army of people for production and i also do work for DTG quite often. I would need to clone me, twice, to get the things done as planned. Producing for TSW is so much harder than for TS1
Diesel loco maybe, but Tharandterrampe's primary rolling stock (DBAG 612) was diesel (just on a fully electrified line)
Do they terminate at Bad Vilbel from Stockenheim or not? If not then continue to Frankfurt am Main Hbf as an express S5/S6 S-Bahn Rhein Main from Bad Vilbel
Definitely no 218. The loco is still on plan but only in an early 3d art stage yet. As someone got the correct idea the order is: Route, 420, 232, then maybe 218 or something else.
Well, that makes me question which train will be included with this route. Personally, I think it's gonna be the 628.
I really hate to believe that it's true. But I will still not believe just because you may want to surprise us with 218 but don't want to ruin it until the first preview of the route.
I’m expecting it to be the 628. 245s are diesel electric so it doesn’t fit in the route code as well as their built date being 2012 while Niddertalbahn is 1991 - 2010. There’s a chance that 642 will be there (altho I don’t like the desiros). As for freight all we have that can be placed is the SEHS 66 (there’s a german varient with pzb n stuff but I forgot the class) and the shunters.
Yup. Altho they’re diesel electrics. I assume we won’t get a freight loco for niddertalbahn till Ludmilla is released or DTG make a diesel loco DLC.
628 will be nice. First German train I travelled on that had cloth upholstery on the seats and not hard vinyl. Bit gutted no 218 (guess it's back to Zusi for that) unless of course Maik is throwing a bit of misdirection. First ever 218 haulage was the famous D231 Holland Scandinavian Express ftom Hamburg to Puttgarden. Good job I had the compartment to myself as I spent most of that section hanging out the window! The seats were too uncomfortable anyway in those old UIC coaches! Re the 612, quite like this in the Tharandter route, sounds very similar to a UK 220/221Voyager unit. However it was a bit under utilised, in Journey mode at least the runs have dried up and all I'm getting now are tedious all ststions Dosto cab car runs.
Makes me wonder about the timeframe R6. The 628, as much as I know, only played a small role on this route and the 642 came after 2012. It was the loco hauled trains that dominated the timetable during this time. Maybe it is not the Niddertalbahn we are talking about… Whatever it will be, I’ll buy it anyway… Looking forward to find out more soonish.
...even if the BR218 comes later (like the BR52, but under DTG's supervision ) the only alternative until 2010 would be the BR628 railcar unit. The main highlight remains the route itself, which everyone can use as they wish in the scenario editor. Each further released DLC would expand the timetable properly. The BR218 could then be exchanged for the BR628 or get an extra layer. Thanks to Maik for his own TSG roadmap!
I agree a tsg route will 100% have add ons for it and layers aswell im only quessing but he did say it in this order but route come out then 420 then 232 as dlc add on plus layed onto tsg new route plus im quessing other german routes i dont know germany so i dont know what routes be realistic for it layer onto but tsg to me is the best 3rd party on tsw that come along the attention to detail the locos he helped with the g6 which is just a amazing bit of kit im uk player so cant say how real sounds and mechanics are but to me how good sounds are on locos he helped with or he did like g6 it is minted
but the good thing is: Your content is always (as we say in Germany) first cream! Even though we might have to wait a little longer, the locos provided are the best we have in game; I mean look at the Br612, Vossloh G6 and ICE1 for example; can’t stop driving them!!
I am happy to see so many older german locomotives in the works. Is that pure coincidence or a private affinity towards the older machines?
