So guys, what are we thinking/ what would you like to see? It’s an AC only route Perhaps: c2c Greater Anglia Ipswich mainline Scot rail ECML WCML
Yup, Birmingham cross city with a 323. They might add the 66 to it since the tsc version came with it. It also came with a 350 i believe but i doubt the devs would actually make 2 new locos lol. Don't know any other details. Don't know who's making it
ECML could be interesting. The Southern most section - Kings Cross to Peterborough is scheduled in the RW to be uprated to ETCS Level 2 (In Cab signalling) in the future NR plan. So we could have two ECMLs - 'Classic' and/or ETCS. ;-) Linky...https://www.railjournal.com/signalling/major-step-forward-for-etcs-on-east-coast-main-line/
Dovetail Route: Birmingham Cross City Line (Class 323) (BCC) Rivet Games Route: Glasgow Queen Street to Alloa via Stirling These are what I think will be the routes but what's most likely to be is Birmingham Cross City Line because there are achievements linking it to be the new route. (Updated dovetail route because it has been confirmed)
They are in talks with swr. The island line couldn't release with the swr livery cuz rivet didn't have the license but they did say they are talking with swr. We'll just have to wait until that happens
Scroll way down. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/new-british-routes-speculation.60445/page-6
Not all that aware as to the routes of ScotRail. But I’d like something that perhaps crosses between areas of the UK?
Ugh. The cross city line and 323 sound like such a boring duo(imo). We could’ve gotten the wcml, ecml, mml, geml but the BCC instead. Before anyone attacks me again this is MY OPINION!
That's a good shout, Glasgow to Carlisle might be theoretically possible (about 90 miles or so by road)
Yea. You could double it up and have both the Kilmarnock and the WCML sections of the route with ScotRail and Avanti West Coast
With regards to the Rivet route, I wanna take a shot in the dark and guess somewhere outside of Scotland since that seems to be where most people are aiming for currently: What if it’s SWR? Rivet came under fire for failing to licence the Island Line livery for the 484, and if I recall correctly they said that they were still working on licensing it, so it isn’t out of the question (at least in my eyes) that they produce an SWR route to show that they have the licence now (plus updating the 484 too).
Don't SWR only operate the DC 3rd rail. If so it won't be that for this release as the route code indicates that it's an AC route.
Rivet games have said that their new route won't be announced til the new year. If we are lucky we might hear about it just after Christmas they said but don't count on it.
That's no good when it's on the Roadmap if there not publicly wanting to disclose the route name why add it to the roadmap.
so people know what they are working on. Whether it is a german, uk, us route, train, era, etc. It's not ideal, but it is definitely better than nothing.
Whilst I agree. Historically with rivet games with West Cornwall local for example . The route name was disclosed but wasn't final and it stayed like that for months. I think we should of gotton an article on the project this month so there's steady progression to the release date. So I don't think less information and then revealing it last minute is the way to go.
Yea, TBH they should have put it in the roadmap closer to release because so far they've got everyone hyped up for another long wait
My guess is the unannounced UK route is Scotland based. So hopefully Edinburgh to Glasgow. (And hopefully the fife circle line in the future for TSW3).
I would love to see both those routes! I'm down for practically any scotrail train (just not another 314)
