This route will be a high speed route with lots of different trains to choose from the trains would be: LNER 800s tpe class 802 and cross country 221 voyagers would be the main trains on this route. The stops would be York thirsk Northallerton Darlington Durham Chester le street and Newcastle The possible add ons would be the grand central class 180 And the tpe class 185 or 68 Or you could base it more 2018 with the class 91s and hst
There's a fair amount of traffic to and from Drax power station, so class 60s with their specialist wagons hauling wood pellets
Good suggestion, if it were me I would either set it now in it's current form or knock it back to the late 70s or early 80s with HSTs and Deltics with the Peaks on cross country runs.
You mean a class 44 locomotive. This can allow Huddersfield Line NTP to layer Peaks locomotive Classes 40 & 45. Then make Blue Star mu equipment that way NTP owners can slave a Class 44 locomotive to their 40 & 45 locos
Not a 44 I was more referring to layering in the 45s from NTP to do the cross country services. Generally at this time the 44s where consigned to freight and didn't often venture away from the midlands all being allocated to Toton by this time if I remember rightly.
Bring it on, just don't tell Matt. He has a list of routes to make and every time this get's suggested he puts it down 1 on the list
One neat feature would be different services coming into Newcastle across different bridges, with a few using the High Level bridge, offering some nice diversity to runs.
