Probably more applicable to the UK, but would like to suggest route layers with a Sunday timetable as opposed to the standard weekday ones. This would allow the introduction of features such as use of reversible working, where one line is under T3 occupation. On non reversibly signalled routes, it would be necessary to introduce single line working by pilotman. This might even entail reversing moves through trailing crossovers to gain access to the opposite line. Also potential for engineering trains travelling in and out of T3 occupations, complete with Stop boards and detonator protection. On four track routes such as GWE, you would be down to a two track railway on some sections. So how about it, DTG Route Timetable and Scenario Department; are you up to the challenge?
I would love to see adverse workings, even if generic late night services or first trains use odd routes. Like on BML where the SouthEastern Electro goes from East Croydon for a few stops! Just.... something unique/ different. Or even an engineering train/ tamper movement during regular service.
Excellent idea and furthermore you have London Victoria to Brighton 1A80 service on BML which is DOO down to Brighton. Also 1C50 BML 17:36 London Victoria railway station to Bognor Regis without the Portsmouth Section DOO https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:P72694/2022-11-06
