I am an Englishman, in England playing the game in English so whether it’s in Germany or the Sahara desert I would like to be able to read any words in the game in English so... just being honest
If I have set my language to English I expect to see standard English rather than the americanised form I am seeing currently!
Caused a bit of controversy. Just wanted to know if DTG could put all the locos in the Training Centre
Center = US English Centre = British (& generally the rest of the world) English. And yes, lets have all our loco types in there. With options for custom paints.
Well I am sure there would be a right stir if they had done it in scouse as american English is essentially as much of a language as what scouse is.
As someone from England, there seems to be quite a hypocrisy in that people only pick out Training Center for not being in British English, whereas everything else is also in another language where appropriate. (IMO) The game doesn’t translate Munich Hauptbahnhof into something like Munich Central Station or The Nerverkhr route into whatever it is. (The second proves it’s also on the menu in other places not just in the route) further examples; Main Spessart Bahn Rhur Sieg Nord Rhein Rhur Osten Hauptstreke Hamburg Lübeck Köln is also spelt like that on menu not like Cologne (The only reason I actually know the names of those routes is directly because it doesn’t turn it into British English) yet there seems to be a large group debating for switching 2 letters round. just my input personally I prefer the way it currently is. I’m not in England when I’m on a German route so why should it feel like I am. IMO personally I’m more of a fan of USA spelling, but would certainly jump ship when it comes to pronunciation
Can’t* Some people moaning about a pronunciation of a word, but yet some people can’t be bothered to check their grammar in a sentence.
Per suh nuh lee eye think wee shud just yuuz werds that arr spelld wot thay sownd lyk trayning sentah
Now you just sound like Ali G or a 14 year old kid lol. As a teenager myself, I used to text like that somewhat. Big up yourself!
Triebfahrzeugführerausbildungszentrum. Yeah, german rocks! (You´d just need bigger walls to fix the plates)
Isn't name of route "Training Center"? I don't see difference between "centre" and "center" (I'm not native english speaker) , but DTG named this based, but fictional route "Training Center". It is it's proper name like "London", "Köln" or "Dąbowa Górnicza".
