Bcc Easter Egg/hint

Apologies if this already posted but can't help but think this is a hint of something that might be in the pipeline for Spirit Of Steam, or maybe even an all new steam route...

Certainly could be (once they've fixed steam).
I never realised these things were built in such numbers - 842 Class 5s according to Wikipedia, and even more 8Fs! Every day's a school day!

 

Oh well, it gave me a warm fuzzy moment.

 

It’s an old joke from TSC days apparently. Something to do with the sounds from a Black 5 being used for many steam trains in TSC routes. Hence “Sounds like a Black Five”.

Ah a bit like in MSTS when everything was aliases to the Flying Scotsman!

 

Well I am sure if you ask nicely DTG will just make trains and routes you want!

 

To be honest a LMR steam route without a black five would be like having a GWR route without a Pannier tank or fish without chips. It would be nice if/when there is some SOS steam DLC it was something different like a BR standard 4mt or an Hughes Crab although I suspect a black five is the most likely contender.
