I read the deep dive article before this route came out and it seems as though people who got it on the starter pack also got access to the the RHTT, whereas people who just bought the route as a standalone didn't. Is this the case?
I don’t know how you got that impression from the article as it doesn’t say anything close to that anywhere. Everyone who buys BCC in any way has access to the RHTT layer as long as they have also bought the RHTT DLC.
I also don't have access to any HST layers on PS4, despite the article saying all platforms would have all layers and I have GWE route installed
So based on what I read in the forums, you need to have ntp and gwe installed to be able to access the 43. Gwe alone won't give you the 43. I think this is cuz there is a banking locomotive in the rear to help the train up the lickey incline. So you need either ntp or tvl to get the 43. Try installing either one or both and see if you get the 43
aww that's annoying as i don't have ntp (and have no real interesting in getting it), that seems quite misleading that those of us who only own gwe can't actually access the hst, wish that was made clearer before release! i do have tvl installed alongside gwe and that doesn't give me the hst which is a shame
thanks everyone for clearing this up, but i do feel frustrated that i can't access hst's because i don't own ntp, surely dtg could have made it so those like me could still access the hst services that don't require the class 47 from ntp
Yeah, I don't know what andyscotland was thinking, the article mentions the layer, doesn't mean the train comes with the base route, you need the standalone DLC as I have said above
The 323 is the base train for BCC, the RHTT is only a layer from the RHTT Add-On, likewise the 37 railtour and HSTs, require their base DLCs to function, hope this explains it all
The rhtt is for sehs. You don't need the route since it's been decoupled so you can just buy it for use in scenario planner
