225 never ran on the GEML? Also, what part of the route, because the whole line would be too long. Even TSC only got to Ipswich.
I think the OP means the 325 but to my memory I've never heard of the 325s running on the GEML Or they mean the DVT for the other end of the loco hauled services with the 90s but overall it seems they mean the DVT
As much as i'd like to see a FLIRT route (Could be used on a Stansted Express route like Liverpool Street - Stansted or a TFW route), a Network Southeast GEML (Set 1988-1991?) would be a nice change to the modern London Routes we get when there is a London Route
I can't remember who but someone made a suggestion for GEML 1989 and it was one of the best suggestions I've seen and made 1989 GEML in my top three most wanted routes also as you say will be a nice change back to the better days.
I loved the TSC route where I think you can use the Electric HST 225? Absolutely love it. Will buy it tomorrow if they release it. I just got the Birmingham route and that is pretty decent. Looks like the railway here in Perth, Australia. Between Midland and Fremantle.
I presume you are talking about the class 90 with mk3s and a class 82 DVT mate. If so I completely agree and probably wouldn't buy the route if it had the ugly unFLIRTy trains which have replaced them.
I originally thought the 325 mail train but realised he was on about the 225 DVT at the Norwich end of 90/Mk3 formations along the GEML, these are much better suited to GEML work compared to the FLIRTs which replaced them, DVT + 8 or 9 Mk3s + 90 vs 12-car FLIRTs, the 90s were fine, I don't know why GA thought it was a good idea to replace them
Yes, as for some reason (I had a Hornby train set at one stage and remember it was IC225) it is called the Intercity 225 using the very rolllingstock you all are quoting. The class 90s.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InterCity_225 Also was on the West Coast main line Trent for TSC. One of my favourite trains of Britain.
