Seeing the customisation tools that are available for PC in regards to game performance. I wonder could there be an optional trade off with consoles. For example, if I set my ps4 output to 720p instead if the standard 1080p setting. In theory could that make it possible fir the game to offer me a greater draw distance?
Draw Distance isn't even graphically recognised! You mean it'll increase your frame rate. No, it won't. Besides Train Sim World doesn't even run in 1080p on PS4. It's 900p scaled - running at 60fps. You won't get more than 60fps on a console, it's simply not supported.
Dont want more than 60 fps. Would like more detail in the distance rather than appearing out of nowhere.(referred to as draw distance)The fps on ps4 gwe is usually somewhere between 25 and 45 fps from the tracking on my screen.
Just don't use a PS4 then. Get a gaming PC because there's nothing that can be done. Graphical detail sacrifices performance, Frame rate sacrifices graphical detail, on consoles. On PC you can have both at no cost but your rig budget. I recommend Ryzen 5 1400 and a GTX 1050 Ti with a 650W PSU, a B360 Motherboard, 2x4GB DDR4 System RAM and a Corsair 275 Tempered Glass mid-tower case. That way you'll be able to enjoy TSW on high settings over 60FPS in 1080p for about £600 (not including any sales). Games have been, and always shall be, better on PC. You get that VR experience.
Cant say Ive noticed anything in particular. My tv has a motion feature either clear or smooth -that blends frames together, so I keep with that.
It did cross my mind, but considering how much Ive invested in PS4 TSW content. Im tempted to upgrade to PS5 instead next year.
