I've updated the green aspects so they're now more colour accurate. Also a long zoom shot of how these signals look in dark conditions:

I think that is the default headlight projection created by dtg

Birmingham New Street facade is looking a whole lot better thanks to SprattyHeath

Brand new textures and a glossy material give it a lovely reflective look in the sun.

It isn’t out yet as more yet is still required. All these mods will be included in one package.

Hi all, a rather late post but something I've been working on (and hopefully the last update of this thread before the mod gets released)

One major issue I didn't like with BCC is the frantically abysmal attempt of the Bromsgrove Station building asset, it looked very lazily done and incomplete.

So I got to work with Blender and did a little bit of editing to bring out the look of the building so it matches closer to the real thing.

Although it's not quite 100% accurate, I think in my opinion it is a drastic improvement over what was previously offered.

    I've uploaded some screenshots below:

Wow SprattyHeath, great work. If only there was a way of editing those UK speed signs to a more realistic font.

I really don't know why DTG have decided to not update them, a small change would bring a big improvement to an already great route. Maybe it's a bigger task than we think.

I read that the headlights got changed to be brighter with this mod. How much can you change regarding headlights. Is it more like minor changes or are you able to do something more substantial.

I can make them as bright as I want, as well as change the colour of them to anything. Though I obviously keep it to realistic standards for my mods.

If you like stop start commuter runs, buy it, you won't regret it. But there's also a mix of faster running, up to 90mph, plus some v nice countryside and more urban scenes. Realistic signalling, a brilliant Class 323. Lots of variation in services, be sure of your stopping pattern! Best route so far, imo. Icing on the cake would be more services in and out of New St, but fingers crossed that will come at some point.

This enhancement pack adds even more to this, well done guys, a great effort. Really loving the announcements, it adds so much immersion. So many new details, reskinned rail vans, graffiti, the signals are now v much more visible during bright light, etc etc.

Wondering if there's amy chance of getting the welcome on board announcements like we had for East Coastway?

V nice scenery added for the gap!

I didn't realise there was a mod for approach control timing for SEHS, do you think the timings are correct for X-city Bescot? - they feel a bit better, but I'm not a driver I don't know - I've been basing everything on BVE X-city/NWM and some cab rides.

Thankyou Fakenham. Glad you're enjoying it.

On the whole I think the approach timers are good for X City. The one at Aston is a bit slow and restrictive though. I think this one releases somewhere nearer the 45 board IRL, quite difficult to really be sure due to the conflicts with late stuff from Walsall.

Thanks Bescot, that's good to know.

Currently having a nice run in the bright sun up to Lichfield City. The new signal brightness really does make a difference. Stopped at Erdington, heard an announement apologising for the delay of a service due to 'a problem under investigation'. Made me laugh, basically saying ....we don't have a clue!

Has the 323 motor sound volume been increased, I've had a little play around myself with the files but can't seem to get the sim to read the .pak file.

Normally when control are too busy to input the delay reason, or the delay attribution clerks gone AWOL there's no explanation. But that one's quite rare!

No, there's no alterations to the train sounds.

I think you can delete the ts2 prototype and it should work. I've had other mods that if you deleted that, it worked.

DTG JD will there be a fix for the too dim signal lights soon for TSW3?

Amazing what these modders can do. Especially in such a short time. This route is merely out. Why can´t DTG react that fast?

I´m shedding tears here over my jailed PS4 ...

Questions is why DTG cant reach such quality as default? Especially with the recent price increase.
Honestly i would be a bit ashamed if i release a product and modders improve it so much in a few days...in their free time...

If DTG want to use my amended signal values for the brightness and colours, then I’m more than happy to share it with them.

These modifications do look so much better especially the signal brightness, the plains of North Worcestershire and Bromsgrove station, thank you for the efforts you have all made. I haven't used any mods before but I will definately use these.

Definitely, thanks v much, it's amazing how much difference it makes to the experience. Very clear and realistic audio, great work.

Would there be any chance of a welcome on board type of announcement for the 323? I seem to remember there was one for the East Coastway 377 which really upped the immersion?

I don’t recall there ever being onboard announcements for trains in TSW. At least not made by me, anyway.

I think this may have been done via an external program rather than a mod.

They certainly should. There's more than one route that could use improved signal visibility. I'm thinking specifically of Cajon Pass, but there are others.

The reworked tile at Brunt Green looks really great, though I wonder about the flowering scrubs in November. Running a Riddick to Litchfield service and had to stop before New Street. Its Thanksgiving here in the US and cooking duties are now calling.

For some reason, when it comes to signalling, DTG do not use high intensity lighting, which ends up making the signals appear really dim. It almost looks like a flat texture in some cases because of how dim they are.

All I had to do is change a few values and it become significantly brighter and much easier to see during the day. It really improves the look and feel of them too.

I haven't tried a night time scenario yet, I will do later but from what I have seen so far it is a great improvement. Bromsgrove station looks so much better and the brighter signals really are an improvement, not sure why DTG couldn't make them brighter like that. The announcements are a nice touch, I heard the one about a fault being under investigation, something we had on Monday when I was waiting for a very late train at Langley Green! Thanks again for the mods, I will have a look and see what other goodies are available.

They are a really nice touch especially as it plays all the destinations, it’s so cool and stand on the platforms and do a bit of rail fanning with them going off in the background.

Night driving is now a really nice experience thanks to this mod. I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy it but let me know what you think of it when you get a chance to play a night time service! :)

With the announcements, the possibilities are endless although I'm limited as to what I can do at the moment as DTG haven't assigned the station announcements to time or any services. Hopefully if/when they do this in the future, I can really make a difference and improvement to them!

Night drives are great with your mods - I play without the HUD, using some notes on braking points, speeds etc and it's very demanding but adds an extra dimension to the sim -you need to be v vigilant. How drivers in real life drive in fog at night - that takes some doing!

Top marks to you good folks for this great mod. DTG should be hiring you to improve the finer details in their routes!
