i’d love to make a suggestion for the “WCML London - Birmingham” in train sim world 3 - if my advice is followed this could turn out to be a mesmerising route. so let me give some context behind the route The WCML is a route between England and Scotland that follows along the west cost of the British Isles and the Midlands, linking cities like London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Glasgow together. it is 400 miles long, but as we all know a 400 mile route is simply an abstract that we all dream of but can’t be materialised due to the sheer length and quality of the route. My proposition is for a part of the route to be added specifically the London to Birmingham route with the Northampton branch line - this would be another game breaking route that would raise the standard of the routes- NOW for the rolling stock- the rolling stock that comes default with this route should be: 1.Class 390 “Avanti West Coast” 2. Class 350 “Desiro” 3. Class 321 4. Class 319 5. Class 221 “Super Voyager” 6. Class 86’s 7. Class 387s for the southern trains to Milton Keynes Central 8. Freight Trains 9. Class 378 10. Class 710 FUTURE EXTENSION IDEAS: Crewe Extension from Birmingham to Crewe Trent Valley lines In conclusion- we need another amazing mega route
Could make it section by section and then join them all together with 1 unified timetable. That is a huge aspiration but we can dream, can't we?
tbh UE4 has the power for this to happen, because it comes down to the devs and if they are willing to do it
The main issue with mergers I did not mention would be the game would have to know what type of combinations of dlc you have and would have to make a certain number of timetables accordingly. Say you have 2 routes you want to merge and they have services going through the 2 routes, you would need 3 timetables (1 for each route if you have either route installed, 1 unified for both routes). 3 routes would need 6 timetables (1 for each route, 1 unified for a to b and b to c depending on which combination you have, then another unified 1 with all 3 routes). And since timetables take several months to make and test to make sure nothing breaks, it would be a huge task.
i feel like they should give it the SEHS treatment - Add london - Birmingham w the northampton branch then add the crewe extension and trent valley at a point in the future
This would be amazing to see. The only problem is, is the time to build it. DTG could take months to make this and while they are working on it the community would be complaining about the lack of DLC's. Maybe that's why they are getting partner companies on board for TSW3 to help make DLC's. Or maybe one of those companies will make WCML while DTG continues to produce other DLC's.
I’m up for that always willing to buy new routes and awesome rolling stock such as those you’ve listed abd turbostars and sprinters be nice in tsw3 also
Definitely agree with you in a way If you think about it the groundwork has already being laid from the pov of the new Birmingham route I use series s Xbox and was pleasantly surprised a round trip of the full length around 4 hours end to end and unlike Brighton mainline I’ve not once had a out of memory error on the new Birmingham route so this is a good step towards what you have talked about
that’s what i’m saying, and BNS would have more life to it, there’s no way DTG added a rail hub like BNS just to be silent
honestly, i’m quite alright with dtg themselves not releasing any content until the route is dropped because a route that long and intricate would provide HOURS of scenarios and timetables, at least a teaser of some sort to get fans hyped up, along w content release from third party, but then again i have a feeling this route will come out or they release a ECML
including the loop would make it a bit longer i think, but to make the route more voluminous and realistic i think they should add the loop line
