It would be stupid not to have a presence on TikTok. I don't care where they do promo. TSW is not a multiplayer so I couldn't even care that someone that does stupid dances all day also enjoys driving trains. Being on Twitter, that would be stupid because everyone can impersonate your company. But! If TSW is on tik tok why is there no video of JD or Matt dancing going viral?
This says to me that you haven't been on Tiktok for a while... It may have started out as people doing dances, but there's loads more content on there now and many people prefer that to YouTube which they see as "long format", ie TLDR
I literally added a filter to my ad blocker to stop youtube showing videos that fall within their "shorts" category because all my subs are long form 1-5hr video essayists.
Bullying is a human trait so I think it's more a case of the social media platforms giving more of a voice to those who won't filter what they say, or who find an audience they otherwise wouldn't have, especially internationally
Tik Tok is big just now. It's a good way to advertise. There isn't really a problem with it. It's not like JD or Matt are dancing. XD
Because people don't like change Because people don't like new things Because people read a year ago that Tiktok was all about dances and ripping things off and never bothered to update their info Because people can't see how a format limited to a few seconds of video can give any fulfilling information But mainly because people don't like change
Well Tiktok does have it's problems. It send personal data straight to Chinese servers (with goverment acces) and there isn't really any content control.
This sentence is too long to read for the attention span of the average person these days. I mean, most of you are already reaching for a second screen to occupy yourself while I’ve been banging on for a whole two sentences now. Oh, you’re back. I was just saying that you were expecting one sentence and yet you got four and now you are mad at me for how long I’ve kept you.
Even though this thread is a year old, the topic of TSW on TikTok remains relevant. TikTok is a platform that continues to grow, and many companies use it to engage with their audience, regardless of the thread's age.
Is threads allowed in the EU yet? I understand there were concerns over it slurping way more data than TikTok does. Also given that the site formerly known as Twitter is slowly imploding maybe the socials team should focus a bit on TikTok, it might yield better results than the cesspit
