OK what is this all about? I was looking to see if I could find any keybinds for the RHTT controls (I couldnt) and stumbled over these controls which Ive never noticed before? Have I just scrolled on past them previously? Or are they new and this is yet another leak?
In before DTG releases Driving Sim World. In all seriousness though, this is quite an interesting find... maybe it's to do with the leaked Holiday Express Add-On? Cause I can't see this being used on a regular route in any way.
Yes the controls seem very basic, with no gear changes just forward, reverse left right and handbrake. Could be fun doing handbrake turns in the desert around Cajon though (for about 5 minutes) and would make finding collectables a bit more interesting then just walking about for ages.
Yeah, if we had a car to do collectables in, then that'd be fun. But I can't see DTG letting players drive cars around on train tracks going down well in the legal department. But we'll see... great but odd discovery you've found, that's for sure.
I mean, there is like a railcar cars can go on to go on the rails. Obviously, you wouldn't just drive a rogue car down the track without anything, but I know there is a railcar where your car goes on top and you can ride up and down the track
Yeah perhaps. I didn't think of that tbh. I think it's going to be a case of wait and see though. Although I did think about it more, and maybe it'll be a new Training Centre feature? That has explorable roads around the facility, and no scheduled trains for you to have to worry about...
Driveable crew vehicles around the larger yards like Cumberland and Barstow would be extremely useful...
An entirely new game mechanics, now that is praiseworthy... Really excited to see what this brings to the table... ( By this point, they should just set a new sub-forum for discussing leaks only XD )
What a strange find Although it has nothing to do with it, it reminded me of this: A more primitive version that I saw in the railway museum in Madrid, this one had to change the wheels manually:
Also in this same menu, there are 'unmapped' controls for shoveling coal and injector trim thingy ( whatever that is ) I suppose we know what's coming
Interestingly no water has been poured on this speculation fire. Maybe we are getting a Jeep to drive - at least on some routes that are, shall we say, rather long.
I've noticed there's a shedload of pads on bcc for putting vehicles on the line. That wouldn't be jeeps though. In the USA they use trucks for track inspection and stuff I think. I would have thought there would be controls for raising and lowering the wheels?
What if this is a traffic editing tool with livery color options.DTG is already challenged enough getting trains to work correctly without trying to add drivable cars&trucks.
I really think DTG should concentrate on fixing all the existing issues before trying to bring even more irrelevant content into the game. Hopefully this is just some form of simple controls for the rumoured Christmas DLC. We really don't need driveable road vehicles at the moment especially with all the more pressing bugs. Time and resources would be better spent elsewhere. By the way where are all the TSW2 DLC updates that we were more or less promised for the summer?
DTG still has to fix TSW3 before they can or every will fix TSW2 content, plus you have to own TSW3 content to get TSW2 content fixes.Wheather TSW2 owners get TSW2 fixes without owning TSW3 that has yet to be determined i guess.
If the holiday express DLC is like the TSC version then there may be a toy Jeep that can be driven around the house. That would be my guess as to why Jeep controls have appeared in the game.
I have a 100% guess that the Holiday Express in TSW3 will be based off the TSC one. The route i mean.
