I just think overground routes are more scenic, long distance and more fun to drive. Overground routes also have more interactive and interesting scenarios but I'm not against the idea of the Elizabeth line. I just have my reasons to prefer overground lines (especially Scottish ones as I live in Scotland and love our routes and trains!)
the elizabeth line is around 2/3 above ground with only the section being between paddington and abbey wood being mostly under the surface, i feel like it would genuinely be an amazing line to have but i doubt it will ever happen
yeah it would rlly be a fun route to drive, even if you had to use cbtc (not driving it yourself) it would add immersion and is only for 1/3 of the route
I don't see many people buying a route they can't drive. It sounds like a nice route but it won't get made If it won't sell well
I wonder if their route is going to be Edinbrugh - Glasgow to Alloa via Stirling. Rivet games are based in Stirling and it is an AC Electric line. Class 385's. This sound perfect for the studio. 50 Miles Total. Not too bad. The current service (2020) gives an majority half-hourly train to Stirling and Glasgow seven days a week, with an additional peak hour commuter service to Edinburgh running six days a week. The journey time to Stirling is timetabled to take 9–10 minutes. Services are usually operated by a Class 385.
i would love this route tbh as the class 385s are awesome trains and electric scottish routes are one of my favourites, would love to see this.
Nope, Just Trains did the TSC version, if a TSW version was to come out, JT would probably make that too
You can't go from Dunblane to Alloa, I'm saying extend from Stirling towards Dunblane, it's about 5 to 10 miles from Stirling I believe
For those that have a rivet games acount, Jasper has made a rivet games speculation thread on rivet forums. Recomend any speculation or Ideas you post on there.
Imagine if it turns out to be the Ayshire Coast Line! That would be sooo great! But they better get the sounds and stations right!
They still haven't anounced their route and they have already put up an expansion pack. And let's be honest... That's gotta be IOW steam railway. The code says steam as well.
They're not ready to announce it. Maybe things aren't confirmed yet or too early stages to know what it is. It was just placed on the roadmap
There is some good news though. Dovetail have hinted that it will be announced/hinted at later this month!
Guys just letting you know I've set up a different speculation thread for rivets uk route expansion pack so this one doesn't get to crowded or confusing to any one reading.
not really the class 380 is kinda ugly ngl but it would be good. im one of those guy who likes LONG routes.. but this would do.
HOW DARE YOU! The class 380 is my favourite train, my local train and one of the best trains! No hard feelings.
all i heard from you is "Class 380 Class 380" Starting to get a little annoying. Not trying to be rude or anything ofc Class 380 is a little cool just the front of it is a bit yk..
If they do it will be before Xmas eve as they go on break until January so hopefully within a week or two maybe.
Rivet have released a teaser video on their socials. You can hear the rolling sounds of the train and the outline but it's blurred out.
The only reason I say 385 is because the traction motors sound very much like other British Hitachi trains and I do believe that 385s are a product of Hitachi.
This looks like a Class 385 Credit: meee Look at the train in the background It looks like a Class 385 Class 385 by TSW Nathan posted Aug 7, 2022 at 5:16 PM derek#2931
