Hi there, I am still on TSW2. Started with MSB and try to complete the BR204 Introduction. Can't finish because at the end the release of the brake is not detected. I' ve seen some posts at steam for this loco with the same problem. Is there a fix or workaround? Thanks in advance. Rein
Uhm, I just finished the MSB : Explore : Training : DB BR 204 Introduction with no problems in TSW2. Did you mean one of the scenarios?
Thanks for your response. I just finished my first scenario on MSB; Hafenbahn Dock Delivery with de BR 204. No problem to finish it. Then I did a retry of de Introduction tutorial. Same as before. When I get the instruction to release the break after first braking at minimum to reach 20 kmh, then the scenario just stops. Nothinh happens; I've been waiting for several minutes but nothing happens. So bad luck
No problem, I don't mind a little shunting! I did 2 more tries at the introduction, all succeeded. Then I did the scenario you did without any problems, and after that I did the training introduction, again successful. This is what I did from the driving part of the introduction: Reach 30 km/h, here I set throttle to notch 2 When passing 30 km/h, here I set throttle to LL, as instructed Instructed to brake, so I set the brakes to minimum Reach 20 km/h, did nothing other than watching the speed go below 20 km/h Then I released the brakes, held it into the release position Next message: Stop at location Hafenbahnhof etc... drove there and completed it Weird, can't think of what it could be other than I must be really good at this introduction
Very strange. I retried the introduction 4 or 5 times but with the same result. After the second time I uninstalled and re-installed the BR204. But no success. I think I'll leave it for now. But there are some more people with the same problem. Thanks anyway for your help.
Yeah, shame really, was thinking maybe there's a difference between the original TSW2 release and the newly packaged one for TSW2/TSW3, which I'm running. But after a search on the forums I found this post and it might be that you're not properly releasing the brakes, i.e. hold lever in the release position until the brakes actually release all the way. Maybe it's that simple? Either way, on a positive note, the good stuff (cold start) happens before the brake bug anyways, the only thing you're missing out on is making it to the final stop, and the gold medal. At least we tried
I tried several more times without success. just leave it for now. Hopefully some day it will be fixed. Not amused, this is a lack of quaility control.
Sounds strange, but you can only release the brake if you have more than 30 FPS, I described this bug in the Rivet forum and Jasper tested and confirmed it. EDIT: By the way, the same is true for Powering America (Part 1).
The FPS did the trick. Graphic settings at medium and FPS not locked to 30 fps as I usually have. I could finish the tutorial without any problems. Thanks to all of you for your help.
