Just bought this… On PS5… for some reason I can’t turn on PZB or LZB using the Br110? I can flick the switches but it doesn’t actually activate. Don’t get any PZB function on the hud and the lights don’t light up. Also… my sifa switch on the back wall of the cab is completely dead. It can’t be turned on or off. I can turn Sifa on using the keyboard command only but that can’t be right considering majority of PS users don’t have a keyboard hooked up? Anyone else experiencing this? PS5 with latest updates.
Is this issue solved with one of the latest Steam updates? I‘m on Xbox, so I don’t have received them yet.
PS5, On Platform 1, Hude Station. Passengers stay with the train. BR425DB, the warning beacons do not illuminate when the door is closed.
Just wanted to notify, that there are still a few issues. BR110.3: - No sound from the air brakes, extremely sporadically they are there but super quiet but not every time. n-Wagen Karlsruher Kopf: - when standing still and brakes are applied in any way, theres tons of sounds from the brake systems' air regulating or whatever it does. Can get pretty annoying quickly when changing directions and you have to stay for like 5 mins or more at the station - Destination board resets after a few seconds, makes it impossible to set a destination. The bug only came after the desynchronization of the destination board was fixed. - PZB indicators extremely dim BR425 - The red taillights could still be used as a lighthouse on a coastline
The driver cab in the N wagen on PS4 looks really (and I mean really) ugly. The whole cab is not loaded properly. So everything that supposed to be round is blocky, the colors look off, you don’t see the lights at all, this should be fixed as soon as possible
There was an update today? EDIT: for me it isn't fixed but I also didn't download anything today. (Steam) Weird..
The 425 brakes seemed off. Even at 100% it doesn’t seemed to want to stop. Is this the way is supposed to be?
DTG commented that the new 425 physics will make it feel closer to the 423 which has poor brakes in real life and in game. I don't know how close they relate to each other performance wise in reality.
Noticed this as well when I was doing the tutorial yesterday. Needs to be looked at quickly because it's looking pretty bad the moment.
Have you completed an integrity of game files check, this will probably pick it up. If not submit a ticket to DTG let them know you did not receive the update.
Did that yesterday. I dunno, maybe I gotta correct myself. The 425's taillights actually look red now (the lamps), but its still lighting up the whole station red. Which it shouldn't be. Either I actually received the update and its not fixed or I've not got the update. Build number is 179
I don't think they've actually changed the brightness of the lights. Just the colors at least based on the recent patch notes
Taillight will correctly be red rather than a white/yellow colour. Marker lights have been tweaked to be visually different to taillight. Would have honestly interpreted the second point as such. But who knows, maybe you're right and they haven't been adjusted. The following question would be a big "why" though. Oddly enough I also have the feeling I get bad performance because of the taillights, FPS drop everytime I'm in the outside view and see the back of the train. EDIT: As of today, 14.12.2022 I still have 3 bugs that I know of with the rolling stock BR110.3 - Airbrakes not audible in the cab at all really n-Wagen - Destination board keeps resetting BR425 - Taillights illuminating everything red, they're too bright. On the other hand the corrected textures for the headlights look very nice too
So couple of things I noticed on the BR425 from Bremen. All the lighting from the instrument panel, headlights, tail lights are too bright. Also the brakes even at 100% just don’t respond. Below are some picture from the Bremen BR425 compare to the Rhein-Ruhr
Couldn’t fit all but these are from the BR425 from Rhein-Ruhr. At you can see the console at 40% looks good versus on the Bremen at not even 1% the console light is too bright.this loco needs another patch
The brakes are supposed to be poor. In real life it's closer to the 423 and from what I've read in forums, the brakes are even worse than a 423 in real life. The new physics and all makes it closer to a 423 which is how it is in real life. I've seen gameplay videos and the brakes seem to work just fine. It's just that the 425 we are used to had some powerful brakes but not anymore since it's closer to how it would behave irl.
Ok thank you for the info on the brakes. Go to know. The lighting does need to be adjusted. Too bright
Yep, brakes are really that bad :P but I'm 100% with you on the lighting. Kinda makes the train unplayable for me, and its one of my favourite ones..
I finally got stuck into this last night. When I first played it what jumped out as bugs were: The AI Press BR155 do not use their pantographs and have their rear headlight on. The AI RSN BR155s on the route use their pantographs as they should. I note after I installed the Dresden DLC and played this again, some of the AI Press BR155s were using their pantographs. The red trail lights on the BR425s are far too bright, not directly but the cast too much light. The passanger AI pathing issues where they bunch up a get stuck leaving trains. Overall, a really nice route. Love the Oldenburg area and the BR110 loco and nWagen stock.
Something additional I have found: General PIS on AI Dostos appears broken inside (very strange is that it seems to be only available for AI Dostos as feature), screenshot show train to "Hamburg Hbf": Dates are generally incorrect -> this is an issue in general also inside the trains on the displays, format is e.g. 20.12.2.022 instead of 20.12.2022, also it appears cut off; second issue is that special characters like in "Wümme" look completely broken BR 425 Since the last update the local logos/decals at the front of the train are missing normal PIS does not correctly show destinations, for example "Nicht einsteigen", it is just cut off here and not moving special PIS display (the one in the middle) is not properly made, textures of the casing are overlapping the display and data here, additionally this variant does not seem to be in sync with the regular PIS with green text
I mentioned in a other thread but worth repeating here.. The vehicle stoppers at some of the level crossings are not working, so they pass through the barriers in front of the train. Save game bugs back with a vengeance on this route, both loss of objective data and signalling redout. And a new one I noticed, a really nasty push pull repeating lurch and surge when starting of in the N-wagon even accelerating gently.
I've seen that on a stream some days ago (also from a PS4). It did look horrendous. I think that relates to the LOD problems introduced since the launch of TSW3. But in that regard we still have those 'not fully rendered' steam locos since release of SOS to this day..... So i wouldn't wait for a fix here as it might never gets fixed anyway. Also the performance of this route seems to be very poor. Not just on the Gen8 but PC aswell.
Well the route is massive with huge yards and lots of assets, causing low performance. You can have the best pc out there but if there's a lot of assets, you get lower performance. Even stuff running in the background waiting to be loaded up.
I know but is that really a general excuse for poor performance? Its a Train Simulator, so you would expect railyards and assets. And with that excuse, places like Hagen freight yard should perform poorly aswell, but they do not. Its just poor optimization. In that sense other games like Snowrunner would perform badly aswell, but it does not, even on my old PS4. This Route perform badly even on PC with decent specs (forcing PC players to fiddle around with the ini. settings). You may be okay with this but this is far from acceptable in my opinion. Stutters and lagging have increased significantly since TSW3. Im experiencing regular drops into single digits fps. Far from a great gameplay experience (sadly).
I did not realize the performance on the route is that bad even for PC users. Now I understand why they removed the ICE 1 layer on last gen.
In itself, the add-on is well done. However, the sidings disappoint me. You can play the Pingelheini with the V60, but only up to Bremen-Huchting, then it's over. Too bad. You could extend the Bremen-Thedinghauser railway to Leeste in an update, then that would also make sense with the scenario that you should bring historic wagons to Leeste. You could also replicate the Delmenhorst-Harpstedter railway from Delmenhorst GBF in an update and also bring 2 scenarios in freight traffic and passenger traffic. DTG, please think about making the routes available for scenarios on branch lines. Thanks. 35.99 EUR for nothing is extremely much. I'm not willing to spend that much on incomplete routes.
Also the gas tankers Zacns in the future natural gas version Zagkks and LPG Zags. Some of the services actually do run with Zacns Tankers like the 60172 towards Wiesbaden Ost & Rbf Mainz Bischofsheim from Oldenburg Gbf The only way how I was able to do it it's actually forcing to spawn the older version the red colour since it has the working pantograph switch. Although you have the option of force restarting the game in service mode provided you have other routes and their freight locomotives that have the working pantograph switch. Here are the quotes about that
Lower the pantograph first and go back onto the small corridor to the panel with the SIFA and pantograph switch, then select the front pantograph only and it will works
I did that in game but the front pantograph will not activate I did this on the journey mode fully loaded cars timetable Rbf Emden Hafen Maschen
You sure ? Because it works fine for me, without touching anything I just lower the pantograph and then I’ll go straight to the panel to select the front one and raise up the panto and it works
Since I am on the Xbox that doesn't work for me instead of the PS4/PS5 the platform you play on Here are my pictures of Press 155 failure to raise the front pantograph. This is on service 89994 Even if I do raise the front pantograph on the Press 155 Xbox in some cases I'll get both Front and rear pantographs up despite the switch being set to front only DGS 60172 example front pantograph failure to activate Compare this one to the Red colour version which has the front pantograph working correctly. This is DGS 60172 using the older Red Coloured 155. Instead of the Blue coloured 155
In Bremen Neustadt too many people are leaving the train. This is unrealistic for trains from Bremen HBF in direction Oldenburg.
On Bremen-Oldeberg add on Route the “B” button on my Xbox series x controller does not seem to be mapped to PZB acknowledgement. Kees Verver
PS #2: I tried it on the BR185 Railpool, BR-155 and BR110 None have the B button on Xbox series x mapped to PZB acknowledgement.
So how is this route now, almost 2 months after release and after a few patches? The Steam reviews still make it appear pretty bad, but most of the reviews seemed to stick from december. Is it better now, bugs and functionality wise? Because going by looks, it is a route I would like to get, as the older rolling stock seems lovely.
The 110 and N stock are very good, it's actually a cab car you want to drive from. The route... well last time I went over there a week or so ago you still got vehicles not stopping at level crossings and passing in front of or through your train. Otherwise, well it's just too darned short and relatively uninteresting scenery or operations wise. Redeeming factor is the 110 subs in on a good few other routes, albeit with Dosto's. My advice - wait for a sale, Easter not far away now!
Not much has happened past the initial updates. Several issues were fixed in those updates and some still remain. One being the ridiculously bright taillights on the 425. I don't usually pay attention to anything else, so don't know what other issues there are. I've played some services and scenarios with no issues so far.
