Hello, all. Just getting started with TSW3. Most locomotives are paired in the game. It seems natural to me to run the train from the engine pointing in the direction I'd like to go (especially without someone on the point to control). If I start out in one engine, how would I move to the other end and enable it to drive the set?
I dont think you can turn the engine around in any map, outside of any specific scenario that may ask you to do so. You need to drive the engine that is pointed in the direction of travel, be it a locomotive, a cabin car or whatever. If you have either a multiple unit or a loco/cabin car pair, you could technically get into the engine at the rear of the train and drive it backwards, but it would be unrealistic (IRL that would be a huge safety hazard, you would get fired and probably get criminal charges) and impractical (if you are driving the rear cabin your HUD will not show what you have in front of you, so there is a risk of running a red light for example).
Shut down the cab you are in, press E to get up, walk to the other cab, press E while aiming at the seat to sit down, then start the cab.
